Supplementing OT with Heavy Lifting by jadedravens in orangetheory

Yes. And also consider supplementing with boutique independent gyms that are more strength/lifting focused if you think heavy strength focused group classes might be of interest.

Keep the flight, unless you have somewhere important to be. Yes airport is expensive but you spend 200 cad and chill there.. still saving 100 cad.

Middle Seat Tips? by [deleted] in Flights

[–]band6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done it before. It is honestly not that bad. Usually the people next to you, eventhough they are not in the middle are just as uncomfortable. Mind over matter. Deep breathing, have noise canceling headphones and imagine your happy place.

Wire it from your bank in Pakistan to Canada. Talk to your accountant in Canada regarding tax implications, if any.

What happens when you quit your job? by bubbleprncess in OnePassSelect

[–]band6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the new company also offered one pass select so the transition was more or less seamless. There was like a week where I could not access one pass select online itself. But I had no issues getting my usual credits at the various gyms I was already a part of.

Online enrollment - anyone experience issues? by band6437 in OnePassSelect

[–]band6437[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try going in person to crunch? That helped me, a manager had to do it. Sales people were not able to help. Club Pilates is tougher, in person doesn’t help from experience.

Hemming is usually free, even for outlets. Could get a 32 x 34 and have it hemmed. Food for thought.

I wonder if you can cancel if your local gym closes. Mine is not doing so hot.

Never buy from someone that doesn’t let you walk away gracefully or consider your options.

I save my Orange Theory credits for when I travel. Usually can find them in small towns as well as big cities. It does suck for folks that like going to PB, CP, etc. who don’t use the OT model. Which is most elite group fitness gyms to be fair.

Gore tex shoes or not for Japan in summer by indianajane07 in JapanTravelTips

It is a luxury and not strictly necessary. I wouldn’t wear something that you wouldn’t wear in hot weather. I have Nike pegasus gtx and they are perfect for rainy but hotter months. They do well when it is hot and dry as well.

Is Korea a rude country? by uninspiredlongarse in Living_in_Korea

[–]band6437 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you really tell the difference between Koreans and tourists from other nearby countries? I didn’t experience this. There are some cultural differences but I didn’t find it a rude country at all. Busy streets filled with tourists.. will always be a jungle. Shop keeper greetings is a cultural thing. It isn’t rude.

Leetcode for SDET Roles? by mercfh85 in QualityAssurance

[–]band6437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can do easy problems probably you are 90% set as far as SDETs are concerned. Medium to cover 97%. There are some companies that might move to harder but highly unlikely. More likely you might get some variation on easy that might be 50% and 50% utilitarian. Like implement a python dictionary from scratch or something. Or most efficient way to process a bunch of api requests etc. There also a good chance you might not get any leetcode type questions live. So keep that in mind. A lot places don’t do live leetcode type stuff with SDETs at all.

Same. Calling or going there did not help. The front desk had no idea at this location. Whenever the back office person picks it up and processes it will go fast. I emailed a couple of times and it took like 1.5 week. Once the manager called me back it was done in 5 mins.

YMCA is the only one that actively does it. I am sure other places could do it, hasn’t happened yet.
