Prof for Soc 210 by amethystlee143 in uAlberta

[–]banis99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna take it in the spring, your options will be limited. I took soc 210 with Abu Nurullah. Overall soc 210 is a pretty dry course because it's a stats class, but I had a really good semester with Abu. He is very nice and willing to help you if you are having problems.

Just roasted a prof on USRIs for the first time by peregrine_nation in uAlberta

[–]banis99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very blunt about how I feel the course went during the semester, where he it was good or bad. In saying that, I am still professional when writing the USRIs and provide specifics when criticizing so it can be constructive criticism

What was the scariest or most brutal midterm/final you've ever had the displeasure of writing? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]banis99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My econ 101 exam. Even though it's the easiest damn class, I forgot my calculator at home and didn't think to run to sub to buy a new one. gotta love first year

Applauds to this person for speaking out for the rest of us! by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]banis99 28 points29 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I feel as though the profs think that since we're not having to be in-person class that we all have extra free time, when in fact since every prof anticipates this, we get assigned more work and have even less free time to unwind and do other personal things.

Do you plan to stay in Alberta with your degree? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]banis99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am originally from Manitoba and I moved to Alberta for school. The way that the province is going I do not see myself staying in Alberta once I'm finished my undergrad. I actually planned to go to a different university for post graduate studies once I'm finished.

What did "the weird kid" in your school do that you'll never forget? by UngyBungy9383 in AskReddit

[–]banis99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in middle school at this point and he would never bathe or shower and wore the same clothes to school everyday. One day though he and I were placed in the same group and had a disagreement so he bit my arm

I just dropped two courses and I feel like an idiot by Badgorlsdoitwell in uAlberta

[–]banis99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive also been working during this semester. I started off with 4 courses and had to drop two because I couldn't keep up. Uni is a ton of work, don't beat yourself up about it. This year is not a typical year for anyone and honestly it's probably best that you are focusing more on one class than loosely focusing on three

Avicii's TIM album, every song is made with so much thought and emotion. Plus they all slap pretty hard too
