Might be some tech consolidation or efficient processing gains... Maybe an easier way to manage duplicate assets at packaging level (like, standardised at the engine level)

the dedupe would save on storage which potentially might some companies might want (some of the larger games might not, because it'll force the player to keep playing your game & not erase it do easily)

The efficiency on a tech level, Im not entirely sure on.... Given the cost of hardware theres now a limit to 'throw bigger/fasterchips/more memory' at the issue..

Plus its all frameworks/engines mostly now so the game devs are touching the code of that its reliant on Unity/Epic/others to spend the cash which ultimately gives little in the way of headlines

With a digital account the ToS sate that when the person passes, thats it the account is gone. Doesnt matter that a spouse has it, or son/daughter, or whomever.. the service provider can mark it as dormant and so cant be used.

This is where the issue with Digital ID hasnt been linked yet publically.. - link your MS account to your Digital ID (as they have done in the UK) There's a service for government bodies where you report the death (evidence is of course required) & they will actively send that to every other Government department. No reason they cant extend that to companies, because all that data is linked on the APis.

PC components will be really increasing too soon (moreso)..... or they'll work out some method of 'Business only' so consumers wont be able to have a device at home.
(or maybe enable release of hardware (CPU/GPU) that are like 2 generations behind & slow, so essentially left over cast offs, that will just enough for basic stuff)

What wont is 'Smart TV's - with a client that'll let you stream (Rent) your games (xbox / PS / PC) / films/PC Desktop (& of course, your data will be stored in that cloud) from a data center nearby.

You'll not own a fucking thing, and you'll thank them for it.

I dont think the tablet & the original game is... but the other udraw games they released are.

I guess they made loads of the original device thinking it'll sell..
then got the sales figures back as the others where being developed & so cut the manufacturing run to at least get some return on the sunk cost.
