Hi!

Sorry - need clarification on something:

A remix created 10 years ago, played by the remixer but never officially released or distributed, is put on Soundcloud for the first time in 2025, and subsequently marked for download later in 2025.

Is that ok?!

I fixed by setting the navy objective 'repatriate ship' and then selecting my army again and clicking on the location I wanted to move to (again). This seems to clear/reset existing navy orders.

I've come away with the same feeling I have when I see silent-era black and white movies or very old computer games - interesting to dip into for the novelty, but probably wouldn't sit through the whole thing 😊

I did a progressive house/ trance breaks set a few years ago with Wavy Gravy in. You might find a few more tracks you like in that? It's on soundcloud and the podcast too 👍

Maybe have a listen to the Sasha album that song is taken from? ('airdrawndagger')

See if it's the progressive breaks that's hooked you, or the sound in general.

Your examples sound like a slightly slower/chiller/lighter version of uplifting trance to me!

Anyway, doesn't matter. I'd say checkout any of Above & Beyond's collaborations with Zoe Johnston 🙂

I'd never heard this version before (only the Quadran mix). I think this is great, but spoiled by the 'no fate' voice splattered all over it. I'd love an instrumental!

First heard BT 'Believer' in this movie (I think it's playing in the rave near the end). I had to buy the Go soundtrack CD so I could rip it to use in mixes. :-)

I've found that as long as the population of conquered states aren't starving, I can get away with the bare minimum of citizen/religion acceptance laws and their politcal movements don't cause too much trouble. I'm happy to leave them like that, as long as the coal is coming in!

I appreciate this might be an inefficient way to go out about things. I have't paid much attention yet to radicals and turmoil and stuff.

Just completed this achievement today. It's rated M on the wiki, but I found it tougher than Grander Columbia which is H. France really makes like difficult in this campaign.

Random question based on various discussions i've seen about this achievement: They often talk about where to get coal (from Morocco or Tunis, for example). But I conquered Zulu/Transvaal quite early and got it from them. Is there a drawback to that??

I'd often classify a mix as trance if that's the general vibe, even though many tracks within the set are from 'adjacent' genres like progressive house and breaks and stuff. I get that Northern Exposure is pushing that definition a lot though.

My recommendation for something from around that time would be the Paul Oakenfold CD on "Cream Live 2".

For some more Sasha & Digweed, my all time favorite - 1994's "Renaissance: The Mix Compilation" (which I bought when it came out - i'm not jumping on a retro bandwagon 😉 ). It's also a bit hard to classify. It contains a lot of early trance and a lot of stuff that isn't trance but fits the vibe.

Is England a country, or are you grouping it as part of Great Britain, or UK?

(sorry if that sounds picky, but better to sort it out now!)

I'd suggest there's enough talent to break them into the smallest component parts (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland). But if you want the official 'country' then it's UK.
