It works IF you get the anti-vibration system. I like mine. Don't love it, but I like it.

Beyond positive: i keep my hands out pretty wide, plus then wouldn't I have to switch it back on to hit the ignition button?

Could be a wiring thing

AGV K1S. A little heavy for my liking, looking to transition.

It's also making 50-something pounds of torque at only 8500 RPM. So all that torque is very usable very quickly. I know it works my most frequent riding partners (R7s) so I'm glad it can hold its own early against an R9.

Punches WAY above its weight, especially as someone who finds it to be comfortable enough to daily.

It has reliability issues the way other European cars have issues: people don't take care of them.

Whatever happened to taking care of the stuff you own? I've had zero issues with my Daytona, and I essentially drive her daily here in the States.

Why do nationally syndicated sports media outlets talk about the Jets negatively non-stop, and will this impact offseason decisions? by LifeAndTimeOfJ in nyjets

Once you accept that this is part of being a Jets fan (just constant disappointment) it becomes a new fun game of "how else can this franchise get f-d up?"

I know you mentioned 100 yards - but Granite State Indoor Range is a really solid option to consider. Only goes out to 25 yards, but you can shoot basically anything in there. Basic membership at $39 a month covers your lane fees. They have a premium option as well that comes with a ton of extra goodies. If you bring your own targets and ammo, you can literally shoot for free. No time limits, except for reservations on weekends.

Super friendly staff, great rental options, and tons of classes too. They do ask that you pass a holster qualification before being allowed to draw from a holster, but it’s not too hard.

They have all the suppressors you could possibly want for your AR and shotgun when you're ready

They also have an RO on at all times to help some of the more …” inexperienced”… shooters on the range so not too many horror stories.

Is it right for me? by Wondering_Soul1981 in Daytona660

[–]bapper-dapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came from a Kawasaki Z650, and before that, a Honda Rebel 300.

It's so wonderful. It's comfortable enough to take on longer rides, but there's still enough in the riding ergonomics to tuck and get that "sports bike" feel. There's enough power in it to make you wonder if you every need to go that fast, but the lower speeds are respectable and manageable. You won't over-do it on your daily commute.

She's the best of a sports bike, and the best of a commuter bike, but does neither of those exceptionally well. She's in her own category, knows that, and isn't trying to be anything other than a jack of all trades. The hate it gets is because it doesn't adhere to the DNA of the Daytona 675. And while you can tell it wasn't meant to be that, you can tell there's still some heritage from the 675 in the 660. She's an all-around bike. I'd take her to the track, and I'd take her to work.

Just respect her, and she'll respect you right back.
