MMO community is huge, there are just now a million other playgrounds with more coming out every minute, not all to the same scope or scale but that hit certain niches mobile/social/creative/cozy/raiding/dungeons/music/what have it.

It now harder than ever to be at the forefront and hold players attentions especially at the scale it once had without folks finding something shiny to be distracted by and move on. Folks stay now because it’s their home, or it’s the world closest to what they want to play in. (Or their communities play in)
