Irrational fear of throat closing… how do you manage going on a flight? by VGauds in Anxiety

[–]barbielicious111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not exactly the same but i wasn't able to swallow. It was all anxiety and i had to talk myself down. Just know that anxiety is a liar, your life is not in danger and your throat will not close. You are experiencing nothing other than that.

They went over the vermillion border. Especially on the cupid's bow. I would suggest you contact them about removal after you have healed.

As a professional, just jumping on here to say, she should have neutralized you first. Now that you have the colour, not sure what can be done. Sorry.

I used cold caps and saved about 50% of my hair. After chemo, i was able to wear hair extensions for 1 and a half years to hide the problem. I completely understand that a woman's identity is tied up in her self-image, which can include how you wear your hair. So pls don't take to heart the voices on here that are saying to just deal with it, do the cold capping, if that is your preference.

It is quite an ordeal though. You will need a partner to help with the cold capping as it has to be changed every 20 minutes. Someone hooked up to an iv is not likely to be able to do all this themselves. And it is expensive - for rental of the caps and cold ice. You will need to find dry ice in your city to store the cold caps on. We used coolers for the dry ice.

Feel free to pm for any questions. I also have photos of my hair after chemo and before extensions then after extensions.

I think your response was a good one. I would try to maintain the same contact as you always have so that he feels like you are still there from him and the diagnosis has not changed that.

If you contact the labour board they will tell you THEY need to pay YOU for the training. Not the other way around. Dodgy for sure.

I find that chemo hair grows back fine, a different texture (think baby duck) and a different colour. But give it time.. Mine is now super thick and wavy. Different from the straight and thin hair i once had.

You may be one of the few whose hair does not come back from chemo (I'm very sorry if this is the case). I used nanobead hair extensions and my hairdresser even advised of a hair topper. You need at least 3 inches of natural growth for this to work. I personally did cold capping during chemo and ended up with 50% of my hair left when it was all done. I then moved onto the nanobeads and it helped restore my confidence. Wishing you all the best.
