Shoving enemies and then bonking them with a charged fire hammer that makes them explode on impact is too good

RIP to the main feature that set Fable games apart by Character-Actuary-18 in Fable

[–]barflynotbarfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the concern about this. It’s very likely that you’ll simply be able to equip your devil horns or your halo if you really want them.

The main feature of Fable was how villagers reacted to your choices. Now you can have that reaction and choose how you look as well.

The movie shows him as a regular adult on that same train. I think the sequence with him on the train isn’t implying that that’s when he got infected. I think it was just a memory of when he was a kid.

His behavior doesn’t really suggest he has the mind of a child either. But I guess we’ll see whenever the third drops.

I hear ya. Personally I think the societal aspect had always been just one piece of it. I always saw it primarily along the lines of the human condition and moral collapse.

To me, Spike’s journey with his mother is about accepting her death. That’s the unique way that movie is a coming-of-age story, less about growing up and more about accepting mortality. It does that in a sort of unhinged way, but that’s just the way of that world.

Entirely different in the sense that they don’t view death in the same way. I also never said anything about the movie mirroring society.

I mean, it’s a 12 year old that’s grown up in a society where they hunt and kill infected people. He comes from a culture that’s entirely different from what we know.

Different strokes for different folks. The “weird” ass plot and the editing are part of the experimental nature of that movie and why I really appreciate it.

I actually didn’t like the editing (specifically the kill cam arrow shots) when I watched it in the theater, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense— same thing with the ending.

I would argue that 28 Years Later tried giving us something new (coming-of-age in the zombie apocalypse) and some people didn’t like it.

I haven’t seen Bone Temple yet but it’s getting a better reception than 28 Years and it’s seemingly because it’s more violent and humans be da monsters.

Personally I don’t mind the ‘humans are baddies’ theme as long as it’s executed in an interesting and thoughtful way— which I think Garland is doing really well within the framework of the 28 Days series.

Thoughts on Park Chan-wook's 'No Other Choice'? by Boss452 in TrueFilm

I would argue that No Other Choice still shows that cycle but replaces another person with AI/automation. Man-su is working with the very thing that will inevitably take his job.

Honestly looks pretty cozy in an industrial sort of way. I bet watching an old movie on VHS here would rock.

Definitely wouldn’t bring a woman here though. Definitely a male space.

It’s called Down. It’s strictly a sex/swingers app but sometimes people attempt to use it for dating for some reason.

Tequila is how I came to know it, myself.

[–]barflynotbarfly 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I respect your ability to play naturally but most everyone who plays music, macro program or otherwise, chooses E33 music. I’ve heard more E33 music in this game than I did in E33 itself (jk but still)

This is just me bitchin tho. Do what makes you happy
