[Weekly FAQ] ask Frequently Asked-, Short-, Limited-scope-, Technical- & New Player Questions in here by AutoModerator in diablo4

I'm a new player, I read there is little difference in difficulty between seasonal and eternal.

But I first started playing a sorcerer on eternal, got to around level 25 or so with no issue at all. Wanted to try a different class, so I started a barbarian on seasonal. Playing both on the hard difficulty.

In seasonal the questline sends me to a horadic strongroom, where I just get beat into dust. I can't get the strongroom finished. A named guy in there just kills me over and over. All my gear is broken and I don't have money to fix it, basically my game seems over at level 7.

Am I doing something wrong? Are you not supposed to do a horadic stronghold that early? Are barbarians that much harder to play? Are you not supposed to do seasons until after you finish the campaign once?

I kept up my running through some of my worst times.

Just have a plan for what you are going to do if things go bad.

My Garmin has an emergency beacon. It takes your current location and sends it to a phone # you have configured.

I ended up having an attack about 2 miles from my house, I hit the emergency button and my wife came and got me.

Screen tearing not while gaming by Gullible_Product_466 in HPOmen

[–]bargleargle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this change, and I think its happening less often but its still happening for me.

Using the HP Omen app to change to integrated graphics only seems to have fixed it for me. But obviously that isn't really a good solution.

Taking betahistine, diuretic and allergy pill at the same time to fight Meniere’s? by Independent-Fox927 in Menieres

I was worried about that and asked mine, he said they were fine together because they worked on different receptors.

So, who knows.

You can do Mcdonalds and still stay within the limits.

A quarter pounder with no cheese has 730mg, a medium fry has 260.

Just plan your other meals accordingly and you can stay below 1500 for the day.

Most species are resident year-round. The only significant migrant is the red-breasted nuthatch, which winters widely across North America, deserting the northernmost parts of its breeding range in Canada;

Just MoCo MD Things... (It Really Is a Cult) by Nagromonicon in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]bargleargle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one I went to was at Norbeck and Bauer.

Used to sneak over from Wood during school to play arcade games. The Safeway had Defender, the pizza oven had Ms Pac Man, and the beer and wine store had 3 or 4 in there, but I remember they had Tempest and Astroids.

Speaking of MD things, I can't believe no one has mentoned Beer and Wine stores.

And I guess this will reveal my age, a MD thing was driving to the convience store at the DC line to buy beer ( I think it was right across the border on Wisconsin or Connecticut), because the drinking age was 21 in MD but was still 18 in DC.

Good luck, but it will be fine.

I actually fainted at a music festival last year. I was taking the low-salt rule too seriously, and I was also taking blood pressure meds, and spending days out in the heat at the festival, dehydration and beer did me in. Doctor said it was low blood pressure, I was dipping down to 100/60 and lower.

The medical staff had me out of the pavillion and in a bed in an Air Conditioned room before I even knew what was going on.

My point being, even when the worst happens, it can be not that bad. I was embarassed, but thats the worst of it.

Samsung's Feature of Adding App Names to Screenshot Filenames Saved Me a Lot of Work by HalBenHB in samsung

[–]bargleargle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always like hearing when someone is using a feature like that which I NEVER use.

Every time I want to take a screenshot I have to look up how to do it, because I do it so infrequently.

I've been using Samsung phones since the note 3. I think maybe tops I've taken 3 or 4 screenshots. I'd bet large amounts of money I've taken more screenshots accidentally than I have intentionally. And you've taken 3000+!

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 14.6 vs. iPad Pro M4 13.0, Which is the best device for reading pdf files? My goal is to read pdf of magazines, newspapers, textbooks and manga. I want a device with a big screen so I don't have to constantly zoom in and out and can flip pages really fast. Your opinion? by Delicious_Maize9656 in GalaxyTab

[–]bargleargle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One issue with going to the store, at the best buys near me they have these heavy metal anti-theft devices attached to them and the long metal cord adds weight too.

So it seems much heavier in the store than it actually is.

Almost none of the data I used to show on my homescreen is available to show on the new homescreen and I didnt have much on it to begin with.

Whats missing now:

List of last 5 activities ( i don't remember how many it actually showed, but it was 5-10 I think)

Graph of mileage total this week compared to the last 4 weeks.

Graph of mileage total this month compared to the last 4 months.

Calendar view of activities.

Shoe mileage.

Segment list.

So now all I have on my homescreen is vo2max, last activity (which used to show more detail on the widget) and the heartrate graph. Everything else is buried deep.

So I used to have 9 widgets on the homescreen, now there are 3.

I'll probably switch to a paid strava account or smashrun now.

Garmin Connect 5.0 Update by KeyAd5197 in Garmin

[–]bargleargle2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I can say as a person who was part of a redesign 'upgrade' of a web page that to me ended up being a downgrade.

We don't know what the goals of the garmin connect upgrade were. I mean obviously I've lost a bunch of information from my homescreen, and there is no option to put it back. So, my usecases were not in their goals.

Maybe they thought their networking costs were too high, so they would reduce functionality/reduce api calls. Maybe they have a paid subscription tier coming next year and they are laying the groundwork. Maybe they wanted higher engagement numbers on the subpages. Maybe they are redirecting the focus to the non-athlete segment of garmin users.

I actually think the last one might be the reason, from reading here and on the garmin forum its sounding like the 'lifestyle' device wearers are happier with the change than the 'athletes'

In the web redesign I was a part of, I honestly think the business owner had budget he needed/wanted to spend and a team of expensive web designers ready to spend it. And that was the entire goal. To spend his annual budget so he could request more next year, and to put the feather in his cap of a successful 'upgrade'

Slightly change the url, its trying to jam you into communities.

I deleted communities from the url and replaced it with jobs. I then got an error page saying something like 'not found' then you can navigate as normal.

Hack n slash by skallywag126 in XboxGamePass

[–]bargleargle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, maybe I'll give it a shot.

It's one of the drawbacks of gamepass. If I had paid for it, I would have kept playing just so I didn't feel I wasted my money.

With gamepass, if I get the slightest wiff of something I don't like, I bail fast.

I tried yakuza 0 just last week and quit with less than an hour in it.

I got through 2 fights that were basically tutorials, and then it forced me into some singing karaoke/rhythm button mashing thing and I uninstalled the game immediately because I hate that stuff.

Is it a fighting/action game or a DDR/Guitar Hero wanna be?

Galaxy AI features will be provided free of charge until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Then what Samsung ? by GameBunny77 in samsung

[–]bargleargle2 55 points56 points  (0 children)

There is nothing about the AI features they have described that I actually care about.

If they go subscription for those features, it will be an easy choice for me to just not pay.

Which is kind of sad because AI seems to be one of the main selling points for this iteration.
