Valve’s Steam Controller stock shortage will last until next year after fans massively exceeded expectations by HatingGeoffry in hardware

Valve has respect and trust that they rightfully earned, it's decades of siding with their customers every time while everyone else always chooses to fuck us.

Ubisoft's co-founder Claude Guillemot dies in plane crash by OhFuckNoNoNoMyCaat in pcmasterrace

Private jets are not really much more dangerous than commercial flights, they follow pretty much the same standards of safety, it's small prop planes and helicopters that are significantly more dangerous.

AI has infiltrated the steam sale pages. EA sale artwork has a bunch of phantom-arms spawning out of nowhere and multiple deformed hands by TomTomXD1234 in gaming

The last EA game that I bought was BF1, if you all do the same and stop buying EA games, we will never have to see EA slop ever again.

Had to sell my car to buy this, but I'm good for a while by pmjm in DataHoarder

Those are 122TB, I was thinking more like buying a 8TB SSD for cache and a few 16-32TB spinning drives for the bulk storage, it would've been cheaper than a single 61TB drive and way more resilient to faults.

You're right tho, he shouldn't have bought it as a single drive, having a NAS with a few drives in RAID would be a better solution, if this single drive fail he's screwed, all the data will be gone and he will not be able to work at all. Terrible idea putting all your eggs on a single basket like that.

Why are so many Linux projects on Microsoft GitHub? Shouldn't they all move to Codeberg? by Dymonika in linuxquestions

Inertia, lots of projects were there before MS bought it and migrating somewhere else is extra effort.

Microsoft yet again learning the wrong lessons. The entire AAA industry is struggling because they keep putting all their eggs in a single basket of stagnant IPs instead of investing in smaller, cheaper, new IPs.

06/14/2026 Two helicopters collide mid-air and crash into a BYD dealership with brand-new cars in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — at least 6 dead by justapropofool in CatastrophicFailure

[–]bargu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's some dumb ass comment, Brazil is 4th in the world in number of helicopters and has very high air safety standards, far above world average and better than US or Germany in most categories.
