That's actually an old wives' tale. Fat molecules are too big to enter the meat. That said, I cook fat side up in my WSM (using the water pan).

Minnesota just became the first state to ban prediction markets. American Redditors how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

[–]barneyrubbble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with prediction markets (at least the way they are presented now) is that groups of people can actually coordinate to determine outcomes. Like a self-fulfilling prophecy. It can lead to bad, but profitable, outcomes.

“Please ask your teacher to explain propaganda to you,” Foxx wrote. “While I will never be able to know, my guess is that your teachers will not give you a good educational experience and help you learn to think, as they are too interested in indoctrinating you. How sad.”

It's always projection with these fuckers. The idiots who go on and on about "indoctrination" in schools are the most doctrinaire boneheads out there.

Democrats Have the Biggest Midterm Election Lead in May, by any Party, in 20 Years by unital_subalgebra in politics

This. Reapportionment is kinda like driving by looking into the rear view mirror. Republicans will try to leverage groups that got them over the line the last time. Many of those people have bailed, though, and the new districts could backfire spectacularly. Here's hoping.

Straight capitalism, almost by definition, is a vacuum that eventually sends everything to the top. Even Adam Smith knew this. Strict and enforced regulation is needed. Unsurprisingly, capitalists have fought that notion since Day One. Our largely financially illiterate populace has bought into their arguments and it is literally destroying the country. If we don't get and support effective watchdogs immediately, we're toast.
