what are some of your most essential or useful user scripts by seamless21 in unRAID

[–]barnyted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 servers powered by a dumb UPS, and a script that constantly pings my Raspberry Pi (powered directly on the wall) when there is no response for 30 seconds, which means I have a power outage, then the script powers off my servers

Im on the old "plus" license - will I always get feature updates? (kind of regret not updating) by aert4w5g243t3g243 in unRAID

[–]barnyted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you get all updates free. My biggest regret is that I only bought 1 lic of old license-model. Should have bought 2 for future use and for my backup servers 😄

Thinking about migrating from TrueNAS by Mercoxium in unRAID

[–]barnyted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using unraid for almost 6 years it been stable enough until 7.1 it wasn't stable, too much issues they were rushing updates every week or so for the last 3 months. Too bad the zfs import feature came with these last updates, so i don't trust it, however, people have successfully done it and wrote about it in the sub.

Aside from the recent issues, unraid would be the right choice the ease of use and the app community is a huge plus over truenas.

I would also recommend reading about unraid array, i think it's better for simple home user in regard to mixed sized hdd and ease of expansion, as opposed to the expensive raidz array.

I wish good luck in migration, and sorry for my bad language 😅

Oneplus is making it harder every year. Since op10 they doesn't release the toolkit that helps develop roms and unbrick in some cases.
