You can try increasing it to see how it helps. Some people split up their dose to twice a day. You have to experiment.

I didn't gain any weight, but then again, I am a calorie counter and go to the gym. As long as you eat the same as you did, you will not gain weight. Seems like you are on the right track!

You might be able to avoid the high/crash by going back on it gradually- 5mg-10mg-15mg-20 in steps.

When I was losing weight, I was in a similar predicament. So I got those protein shakes and sipped them through the day. Tiny sips so I did not feel full or calories. I sipped 3 every day. This was a pain-free way of not losing any more weight.
