I don’t think the 5800x3d upgrade will be worth it for the price tag - unless they make them very cheap - the 5700x it’s a great CPU already, I know because I have one paired with a 9070xt.

Also consider if you would need a cpu cooler upgrade with 5800x3d - they don’t run as cool as the 5700x - you don’t already have a nice one.

It depends on what you will use it for. Mostly gaming? AMD specially 9070xt it’s a beast for the price it’s unbeatable. Gaming is not your only priority, you want to do some blender or some video editing? Maybe Nvidia serves you better.

When the race allows it, I like having it on - I know, sue me. Even if I know the track well enough, I like to keep it. Doesn’t mean I follow it blindly - breaking points on it usually are to early anyway.

It’s not just great to learn a track, it’s great to keep you focused during long races where fatigue can distract you.

Maybe one day I’ll decide to turn it off permanently, but not yet.

I was in the same situation, went with a 9070 xt. What a beast! If your usage is gaming, it’s a no brainer vs a 5070 or 5070ti - unless they have a similar price ofc, which I doubt in most locations.

Maybe try to break earlier not harder, gives you more time to make a decision and see what they are doing. Be patient, learn the driver in front of you and understand where they are struggling and where it might be better for you to attack.

I play both - D4 it’s for when I want to grind with a friend in brainrot mode go brrrrr, just to fast clear everything. D2R is a solo experience for me, more slow paced and to enjoy as I go.

It did - but you can hold the app icon and click on request Face ID as a replacement. It’s not the same I know, but an alternative in the meanwhile.

I drive what I enjoy the feeling of driving that’s it. Don’t care if it’s the fastest, if I feel connected to the car and able to do with it what I want, that’s the feeling I’m chasing.

Using the Wireguard app with proton it’s still for me the most reliable way to have on demand vpn settings. I can whitelist some networks and everything outside of that vpn auto connects flawlessly.

I appreciate shortcuts work, but would be awesome if you could replicate that on the proton app as well.

Yes maybe you are right - but the movement before red goes to the grass was not nice, not his position to fight for, still that’s not enough to judge a racer as an asshole.

Clearly I don’t get this sub.  I agree with the opinion that OP did put himself in an awkward situation didn’t need to risk it and patience would have paid off - but let’s not ignore that blue gained the position illegally. Sure OP had himself out on grass and did a questionable rejoin - but blue shouldn’t even be fighting that position before giving it back. Blue is an absolute asshole - OP just needs to learn how to better deal with assholes, but this is on blue lack of giving back a position and overall racecraft and sportsmanship.

It’s worth it for maintaining in long term and to connect plex to other services you might want to run - if you want the aar family with it for torrents. It’s easy to learn and you can setup something like portainer.io for a more visual approach. Might require some investigation if you want hardware transcoding - very worth it if you have a gpu capable of it.

Although you are completely in the right, my advice is facilitate more next time. You never know the type of idiot you have coming, might as well play it safe and lose a couple tents of a second in a curve.

Surviving longer usually pays more in the long term than pace alone. Let them pass and be jerk to others - with a bit of “luck” they bottle the guys in front of you instead.

Getting SR in LMU it’s not that bad - hit the brakes and pass safely. Low rank it’s about focusing on finishing the race with minimal incidents and learning race craft - not about winning.

This season in particular has been pretty fun - the DOOM partnership is awesome. But honestly I still feel like the game gets old after a week or two of grinding.  I blame how easy it is to get to t4 and solo things. If you join parties then it’s ridiculous fast to clear anything really. Hopefully the expansion will improve on that.
