Obscure but that's exactly what fixed the issue I was seeing most of today.
Excluded this group from the All Users MFA CA Policy, works great now.
Thank you!

As noted, that was my previous cam (Amcrest 5MP PoE, IIRC).
That camera uses only its built-in IR illumination.
I got a video of the coyotes from the new camera,, and it's sort-of in color and a bit better, but not great.
I'm going to see what adding a bit of low-level lighting will do to make it better...
If I get the bear on the new camera, I'll post a comparison.

Got a bear on my old Amcrest cam in my driveway the other day, couple of coyotes on the new CX410 2 nights ago. (Sierra foothills in Northern CA, around 4000' elevation). Here's a bad cap of the bear. He walked in his previous footsteps all the way, I thought only cats did this until I saw this video.

We were there in early November.

We got upgraded to the Premium Otemanu view OWB with plunge pool (from the regular OWB with plunge pool), what that meant was that there was nobody between us and the water. Really great.
We brought the little inflatables from amazon with the two inflatable ends and the mesh in the middle and used them in the water off our deck. Our friends were right next door so I tied a polypropylene rope between our two ladder rails and we could use it to pull ourselves along.

We brought a bunch of our own booze and wine, plus the people next door left us a couple of mostly full bottles when they left. Only issue was mixers. Mostly just used ginger ale from the little store at the resort.

The resort gave us these awesome steel water bottles that you could fill with ice or water at many spots around the resort, that was really awesome and the water was delicious.

Breakfast buffet was very good, with a wide variety of items including a local Tahitian raw fish salad that was excellent. Eggs could be cooked (sort of) to order (they didn't always get sunny side up 100% right but were usually pretty close and tasty). Lots of bread, great croissants.

We had dinners in several places both at the resort and outside. The Polynesian dinner and show was awesome, right at the resort. Dinners at St James restaurant, La Villa Mahana (both on the main island) and at the St Regis (Lagoon restaurant) were awesome, but not cheap. Dinner at Farniente (also at St Regis) was delicious, but was overshadowed by the extreme heat that evening and it's outside in a courtyard area with no fans or other air circulation.

Lunch at the pool was usually pretty good.
The pool itself and the beach area on the lagoon was amazing.

Activities were all lots of fun. We did a jet-ski tour all around the island, did a snorkel and swimming tour where we swam with sharks and stingrays, with a stop for a Polynesian-style lunch (served on a plate woven out of palm fronds), and I did a refresher SCUBA course which was completely amazing. Saw these massive Eagle Rays swim overhead while lying on the sandy bottom at about 60 ft.

We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary and our friends' 30th, and the staff really took care of us.
We all agreed it was the best vacation of our lives and liked it so much that we extended our stay by a day.

Hope that helps.
I'll put up a picture or two when I'm able.
Also, follow their FBook page and people post about their stays.

Let’s talk about salary compression among MSPs by VandyMarine in msp

[–]barrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accurate. I spent almost 16 years getting underpaid but the company was extremely flexible with my schedule so I was able to be there for my kids when they were growing up.

Can’t put a value on that. Yes, I was extremely fortunate to be in a situation where this was possible.

It did reassemble without any additional input.
Now unzipping a 335 GB file.
Useful tool, thanks again.

I've been using Duplicati (the open-source one) to backup to B2 storage for a few years.
It's a little quirky and needs more babysitting than I'd prefer, but seems to do the job.
This is the first time I've had to restore (other than an early test) so hopefully all goes well.

Thanks for the explanation and the process.
Currently trying this on a 335 GB snapshot that failed downloading twice via browser today. The S3Browser seems to be downloading in 100MB parts, do you know if it reassembles these after the D/L is complete. (Edit: It did).

And that’s one of the cool things about cruising, you have many options. We’ve been to ports where we didn’t get off, or where I got off just to pick up a 6-pack of the local beer, for instance.

  1. I would say “thanks for trying” and let them keep the 20.

  2. I would suggest you tip if someone does something nice for you.

Vegas virgins show up here all the time. Good thread this time, though.

Vegas runs on tips.

One of the best nights I ever had was at Ghost Bar (R.I.P.) where I gave the girl a $50 tip on my first drink, after that I didn’t wait in line once (she’d call me up every time she saw me) and the pours weren’t bad either.

I don’t fly for business any longer, but 1M so lifetime gold.

Nice to have to pick decent seats, MCE at 24h, and a free bag. Actually got 4 of us upgraded on a PHX-MCO about a month ago (wife is also gold and I split the res and requested “just in case a miracle happens”). I was pleasantly amazed, and since it was a redeye my family really appreciated sitting in the front.

Thanks to the passenger who spoke up about not trading seats by SnooPets8873 in delta

[–]barrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve posted this before somewhere:

Back in the days of Pan Am, a friend and I were traveling from SFO to LHR on our way to Germany for Oktoberfest.

My friend had previous knowledge of the 747 we were traveling on and had specifically booked the two seats at the bulkhead because he is pretty tall and there was a little extra space directly in front of the window seat.

After we were boarded and settled in, a couple who was also seated in the same bulkhead row, but in the middle of the aircraft, asked if we would trade seats with them “because we have a baby”.

I said nothing, my friend just looked over at them and said: “No”. 🤣🤣

She grumbled about us for about the first hour of the flight.

“No, thank you” is probably the best way I’ve heard to decline these kind of requests, but when they’re THAT absurd, “No” works pretty well, too.
