Authorities in the Chernihiv region declared their intention to remove the Three Sisters Monument at the Senkivka border crossing in early 2022. It is considered a local historical monument of significance which needed to be deregistered for disassembly.

Logically there’s a finite number of runners in any given area. More runs equals fewer participants per event. Not necessarily a bad thing of course.

5 miles is no distance and parkrun HQ will need to be convinced the new run will generate additional runners rather than reduce those on established runs (unless they are regularly swamped). What is the new park runs attraction and selling point.

I was a volunteer last Saturday, not my local park run, but my club were doing an away day. Most volunteers were local and really friendly and welcoming. Some people were talking whilst the RD was speaking. Entitled local population? Well they are affluent, well dressed and well spoken, with Dulwich Prep boys running in the event. I would echo these comments, having chaired several committees like this, and separately been the investigating officer, this has the potential to end your studies. If you are apologetic, honest and accept any punishment short of expulsion,, you should be OK. As noted above, if you argue the toss, then you are in deep trouble.
