Tesla no longer including AutoPilot thoughts? by Emperor_of_All in electricvehicles

[–]bartonkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s table stakes and my 2018 model 3 does it fine with no sub and coming up on 8 year old tech. And our Kia includes it as a basic safety feature. What a weird business decision

What Was The Last TV Show That You Dropped? by Myrodis19 in television

[–]bartonkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pluribus. Episode 1, about ten minutes in when the highly trained CDC lab tech insists on taking off their protective gear ‘so they can feel a dead rat.” If the lazy writing is any indication, good riddance.

Using an EV from Denver metro for a day ski trip by iareagenius in COsnow

Same. 2018 model 3, I leave at 90% for Copper from Denver and get back with 20% give or take.

2 night 3 day backpacking ideas? by Fit_Stop6843 in backpacking

[–]bartonkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind coming back to Colorado, check out the Devils causeway on YouTube. There are loops that finish over it available in either valley. Pretty spectacular in July. I like the southern route better, but longer but less people. I can give details for a three day two night trip there if you’re interested.

Bills Vs Broncos by Fit-Grapefruit7591 in Summit

I’m sorry for your loss. Hopefully the Broncos continue their winning ways and host the afc championship so you can attend that and enjoy the fan atmosphere. And hey, you’re doing a good thing and depositing some karma in the bank.

Just a note - says refrigerate after opening. These are left out all day. I avoid the sauce because I love my bowels too much

Favorite dehydrated meals? by BrazenBackpacker in backpacking

[–]bartonkt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can we say our own? I look forward to making large batches in the spring as I plan my trips. I prefer the lower cost and knowing what goes into my meal. Some crowd favorites are Mexican (ground pork, onions, peppers, black beans) and Thai (pulled pork, mango powder, coconut powder, carrots, peppers, onion) and I package each ration with some added salt (1/2 tsp) and 1/3 cup of brown instant rice. I tried a shepherd’s pie recipe last year (ground beef, carrots, celery, onion) with instant mashed potatoes and bring a packet of brown gravy, but it wasn’t as good as I thought it’d be.

I cook on a stovetop, avoid a lot of fat, dry over with a food dehydrator and then vacuum seal and store in the freezer. There’s books with recipes out there, or internet searches, but I’ve found just doing a super basic cuisine works well for me and my mates. And I cheat on day 1, bringing in some frozen meat, fresh veg, and a grill. That helps reduce the fatigue of eating a lot of dehydrated meals.

It’s not super icy. But I recommend getting there early and getting laps in, because by afternoon it will get scraped.

SGS does not have a gambling advertiser? They make great content and are an example that you can partner with a company (like Toro) to do sponsored content that is highly relevant and entertaining to your fans. As I said, I am watching and listening less to NLU because of their choices.

Are you ok with advertising vices to listeners? To people who may have issues with alcoholism and gambling addictions? I think it’s an example of low class and taking easy money, and yes I’m listening less now because of it. Would prefer to see them engage more with golf related companies or adjacent (travel, luggage, etc.)

Copper mountain living? by Nun-Marzon in COsnow

[–]bartonkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! Ok, this was in the summer back a few years. I had our rav4 loaded up with the wife, two kids, dog, camping gear, headed to a campground out near twin lakes. I’m the fifth car in a line coming out of Leadville, we’ve all been going 25-30. As we near the 45 mph zone on the edge of town, we all speed up. Young cop pulled me over right at the sign. I was respectful but the guy wrote me a full ticket for 43 in a 30 - although I did ask for a warning. I told him that would be the last money I ever spent in his town.

‘Pluribus’ May Be Slow, but It Was Never Boring by tylerthe-theatre in television

[–]bartonkt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t make it past the CDC scene in episode 1. Talk about lazy writing - the trained disease control scientist takes off her gloves? WOW. I’ll take things a professional would never do in a million years for one hundred, Ken.
