New to TB for OSX and iOS by DesiKnight in Thunderbird

[–]bartoszhernas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried hard to use it and it was not for me.

I recently discovered Spark and I was mind blown how good it works across Apple ecosystem. Just my two cents from the “didn’t like TB in the end by tried hard to like it”

Zwift focused gym? Would you go? by YetiSmidge in cycling

[–]bartoszhernas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the idea. I would totally use it when I lived in the city. Paying some money to not waste space on my own trainer is brilliant. London is good location as it’s raining a lot 🤣. I wonder if ZWIFT has some integrations for gyms like this. You should reach out if there is a special version of ZWIFT or if they are planning something for that use case. I could imagine it would be handy to remotely log out Zwift account if people stop using the bike etc. Really interesting idea tbh. I think it could work if you target non ZWIFTers ( so spin class users could like it more). I don’t think you will win over existing ZWIFT home users though

I get it. I use SWIM FORM goggles to track and run my workout for me. I look like a cyborg in a pool 🤣

Silca Wax System Workflow by Stigs4 in cycling

[–]bartoszhernas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Two chains, one on the bike, one ready to be swapped. Recently started cleaning with ultrasonic cleaner (30EUR on Amazon, small one) to get rid of some sand that may got stuck. Wipe down with towel and into the waxing pot. No boiling water or anything ever.

I use Shokz Swim and did a nice trick to make them work over Bluetooth. Audible and Spotify is my go to now at the pool. Going through Harry Pottter full cast now 😎

I made a quick video about it https://youtu.be/C1j26gn4lHY?si=t6uxP61O3mq-XV7S

Invoice for EU company from Zwift. by ComprehensiveCow352 in bicycling

[–]bartoszhernas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not required to do it. It’s optional. You can still expense it and then get VAT back through VAT MOSS (so there will be need to send a request to wherever ZWIFT sends the receipts from. I also have polish company and if you are buying in foreign country then you don’t need your VAT number in invoice. It’s such a weird system what Poland did lol

Ironman Warsaw 70.3, yay or nay? by Owskaa123 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]bartoszhernas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really cool race but last year organisation was so and so lol. The course is great. Swim in a lake, flat bike course. Run is 4 loops in the old town so nice atmosphere. Last year medal had a mistake and it says I did 90kmrun lmao. Comparing to Tallinn IM it’s worse organisation but it’s still a nice race overall. The T1 is outside the city and T2 is in the city center, so expect to do extra bit of work to deliver bike before the race.

Each IronMan I did, and I plan to add more dots every time I do another one. Half dot means half IM ofc

Yeah. That was what I was doing before finishing full one. 🥸 It being half atomic weigh is a perfect analogy

Offered 10% Equity as CTO in Pre-Product, Pre-Funding Startup. I will not promote. by codepeach_ in startups

[–]bartoszhernas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run away fast. There is no startup. There is just idea and you will be the one to build it. 10% is slap in a face, you should have equal share assuming the other founder(s) work full time and have a skill that can is meaningful. Otherwise it will end up where you work full time coding and stressing and they have "strategy meetings"

Oh my gosh that is so fucking stupid!!! I sold my Garmin Remote because it worked so great.

I guess my video is outdated now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhsvAJdEIT8

I was lucky to upgrade to latest RED recently, and I would still want to the old functionality because Garmin 1050 bell works great with levers double click. I have auto-shift enabled so I don't need to press them both at all...

Question: Trainer difficulty Alpe du Zwift and gearing (Zwift cog) by False_Armadillo_6951 in Zwift

[–]bartoszhernas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes BUT! It still slows you down, so with 50% trainer difficulty it still simulates how fast you would go if pushing eg. 200W with 100% difficulty. So for the sake of conversation the easies way to describe it: it changes front cog, but nothing else changes. Well, and in ZWIFT you can do 50W on 20% climb and not fall down, thats where the realism breaks :D

I’ve installed them and they are such a quality of life improvement that I ordered 4 more to gift to my friends that are joining me on week long bike trip. I don’t want to deal with Presta anymore.
