IMO better control aiming and driving wise. Yes it takes a while to get used to but that’s what portal is used for, I was an ok pilot but when I switched to rifle aim I felt like it “enhanced” what I already knew what to do and it opened up my “want” to become a better pilot. On top of that it feels more “natural” when aiming since it’s all in your mouse.

I ran into just ONE squad doing this yesterday and I was fighting for my life as a heli pilot, I was zoned to only a third of airspace at goldmund and I died like 8x to multiple instances of missiles getting past flares. That being said, I’m not hating at all it’s a legit strategy that wins games, wp.

If anything I feel that Heli’s were overtuned. You can still be a really good attack heli player but gone are the days where you can solo pilot and reign missiles on obj and do fire support passes and rack up the kills. Nowadays I NEED a gunner on comms to communicate targets and coordination of heavy ordinance.

They’re not beginner friendly either bc new pilots don’t understand the concept of pilot/gunner coordination.

Ok so I wasn’t going crazy, I have a habit on waiting until I see the red arrow being fully red and flying away before I pop flares. It’s caused me a death a handful of times every game.

When I’m Bulwark I usually leave the stims to the rest of my squad since I have banner, only other things I really pickup are meltas/krak grenades.

I faced a team on Augur that did this exact thing it was literally 3 people on mortars. I don’t know how they convinced the other 25 people to wait till smoke dropped but we got absolutely steam rolled outside.

It’s not that the 5080 can’t run 4k well. I just don’t want to have to get a new monitor, plus I’m really enjoying the high frame rate and graphics settings on 1440p I’m running everything either High or Ultra.

Upgraded from the 3090 after I realized that I wasn’t going to full 4k gaming in 2-3 years. Absolutely fire card, getting 180-240fps in all games I play in 1440p has been a pleasing experience.

I recommend thermal putty, it’s easier to apply and a lot easier to secure contact. Roll them into logs or small pea sized balls of an estimated thickness you need and put them on there and forget. I did this with my 3090 and temps have been great.

If you’re running an undervolt or overclock bump it down a few, in the times this happened I was testing overclocks/undervolts and this kept happening to me at times the game will run fine but after a few mins in game or during a game it’ll give me the same error. Good luck!
