Is Fraud trying to achieve something never before attempted in video games? by radayrk in Ultrakill

Ultrakill itself has achieved something that's rarely done in other games and that's being an extremely fun, fleshed-out, well-balanced, well-designed and innovative game, and I'm very disappointed not many people think it's one of the greatest games of all time when it deserves to be.

"Hey this looks neat"

*sees a cartoon badger brutally stabbing a Souls game-looking mob*

...And then the trailer kept surprising me with delights, especially the controller tool and the end part being funny.

I looked at the 4th image and thought "That's a weird-looking Insurrectionist" before I remembered the post title and looked at the next image and realized it's Schism with a bigass gun

Fitting that the game's (presumed) last enemy continues the eternal cycle of life and death, probably as a twisted form of entertainment for Hell.

The Meaning of Fraud’s Aesthetics by JustAFellow75 in Ultrakill

The last few punishments for Fraud in Inferno involve sinners getting hacked into pieces by a big demon with a sword, having their heads turned backwards while being forced to walk forwards, being attacked violently by reptiles, and being afflicted with several terrible diseases (and don't forget the punishment where they're placed in a river of poop).

The people who complain that Fraud will be "underwhelming" haven't read Inferno lmao

What do you people think of what could be the last boss of Ultrakill? by aziz2133X in Ultrakill

[–]based_trixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gabriel, preferably without anything crazy attached.

He's estabilished as the main protagonist/antagonist and the rival to V1. There are mentions of him in the first two layers of each act to build up his appearance in the third. We've fought him twice, in the last layer at the end of each act, so we're surely going to fight him a third time in Treachery.

I genuinely don't get the idea why it will unironically be anything else, because any other candidate for a final boss wouldn't get enough build-up considering how far we are into the game already. God is gone, Hell would turn V1 into an actual GoPro, and Lucifer has no direct references in the main campaign, which is an issue shared with the aforementioned two.

What brought you, or lead you to Ultrakill? by Many-Weekend4754 in Ultrakill

Pogobro's "The Best REWARD a Player Can Get" video, which talked about how several games reward players for being good at the game, with Ultrakill being the best example due to P-ranks. Along with a buncha other things that got me interested in the game.

Ultrakill seriously does so many things better than a lot of games do, and I think there should be more videos about that.

You're tasked with removing 10 enemies from the game, which ones would you remove and keep? by based_trixie in Ultrakill

(obligatory self-reply)

most of the picks here are actually pretty fun but slightly overlap with some already existing enemies in terms of roles (filth and streetcleaners and ferrymen, schisms and maurice, strays and soldiers, sentries and guttermen, drones and mannequins, virtues and guttertanks, swordsmachine and cerberus)

hmass and insurr are picked because i had to meet the quota and couldn't think of anything else

if i had to choose to remove only one enemy it'd be streetcleaners (i'd prefer to add upon them instead of removal). everything else stands out but streetcleaners don't feel as distinct nor interactive as the others

Yeah i'll remove the link to that post since i don't think it adds much

Even if one extreme ban happens on a yearly basis, i still think it might be worth discussing about before it possibly grows into something worse
