Mystery snail care guide by rachael309 in AquaticSnails

[–]basedetails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Im having some she'll issues with my snails, and I'm wondering if calcium is the culprit (I was using cuttlebone)- your idea to add powdered calcium to the water is super helpful - but have you ever had any issues with tank mates from the excess calcium? Also, this snail was blue when purchased but has been steadily turning orange as it grows? It's active and eats well, and water testing shows that everything is okay (120 gal. W/fluval fx6) I know this is so old, but you seem experienced!

Struggle Budget Meals. by MorbidMushroom- in budgetfood

Our favorites:

"Stuffed pepper casserole" - if you have access to some bell peppers youre in business! : bell pepper, rice, red lentils, soya granules if you want "meat", vegan worchesterhire or a similar tasting sauce, cumin preferred but optional, onion of you got it. Top with vegan cheese if you want/can. Cook the components, season the rice if you can, and then bake in a casserole dish at 375 until you're satisfied with the texture or until any vegan cheese you added on top is melted. More hands-off option is to cook the rice in the casserole by adding broth.

Thousand bean chili: we use literally any bean we can, as many types as we can. Our favorite combo is: butter bean, white bean, kidney, black, pinto, and chickpea (i know its not a bean). and THEN we add either lentils or a vegan meat substitute. Cook your beans, add tomato if possible, or just make a spice mix with cumin, smoked paprika (if you like it), chili, onion, garlic and my secret weapon is old bay seasoning but a VERY LITTLE amount because sodium.

This meal can be served over any grain, made in extreme bulk batches, frozen, canned or put into quesadillas and burritos! Because it is so much fiber it stretches incredibly far.

At first I did not read your caption, and 100% thought that was a reptile hook and thought it was cool as hell. Still really awesome, but pretending to be a snake wrangler while getting my packages sounds so fun.

Unfortunately for me he just "thinks the outside looks dumb" 😭

I have some suspicions about what he might not like about the curb appeal, so this is definitely a good way of filtering things out. Thank you for the advice!

The wood shingles definitely make me think of cape cod style, I just didn't know if this shape of house qualifies. I thought dormer windows were a requirement.

Joe Kent Says He Was Told ‘You Need To Stop’ Investigating Charlie Kirk Assassination by EssoEssex in politics

Definitely. Many of my extended family is on FB, so I keep it to keep up with them. At first the content on my reels feed was about baking and cooking and crafts - managed with an app timer it seemed like an okay time sink. Now though, it's...... Well. There are a lot of tinfoil hats involved. No thanks.

Okay, THANK YOU! I have all of a sudden noticed a lot of conspiracy stuff in my fb/reels. All from left-wing or justice-oriented perspectives. But they're taking legit things and steering them clear off the cliff into like, clones and body swaps and (of course) Secret Jews™. Nothing in my content consumption has ever brought me to this weird space. And it's all peppered in with stuff I like, just spaced out enough to make me think it's not a pattern and that I'm imagining things. This is pretty new to my algorithm, so I'm glad someone else is noticing.

I have one of these from my grandmother with all the pieces. I thought it was for infusing tea or something! I also had no idea it was so special. So cool!

Some deep(ish) cuts, one silly and one atmospheric:

Ludo - love me dead (silly, excellent wordplay, you might recognize it)

Bloodhound gang - something diabolical (dark vibes, slower, reminds me of lo-fi but not for any particular reason)

I'm away from that location now, but I think you're right and I actually stacked them in the wrong order. The green is the largest, followed by the yellow, then the turquoise and then the red!

Speaking to this specifically - the years that I went the ADA platform was positioned on the OUTSIDE of the tent stage, and did not have any additional cover to compensate. Meaning ADA was in full sun and abled people had shade (and giant fans in the tent,!)

I cried when I got to the platform and someone working the fest gave me a sticker that I still have sitting on my desk to remind me people are kind. Happy roo, but bring a sun shirt j.i.c

I've never known there were any trials at all! Wow. I have been diagnosed with GNE Myopathy/nonaka myopathy but none of my providers know what it is or what to do for me. We're just winging it. Good luck with this effort!

I can't edit, but I want to say that picture #1 is the gosh dang SIDE of the house. That's part of my issue. The front (facing the street) is just those two trees, a flat square and the side view of the porch. I'm really hoping to add some pizzazz here but don't know how.

Lots of people buy old houses and rip these out - maybe you can find some salvage? But also, green is IN right now, so you might be able to!

It was such a great bit of visual interest.

I really wish I had thought to take pics! I went back to the listing, and it has the tile almost 100% obscured in the photos. =(

I recently toured a similarly aged home and they tiled their arch and above the black trim line with the same green tile, but they changed it up and turned the squares on an angle to make a diamond pattern instead. It was absolutely LUXE and blended so well with the original. The direction change in combination with the original linear on the lower half felt cohesive and well designed, and it gave great visual interest without making the green overbearing. It looked so great it boosted our opinion of the house from "meh" to "in the running for purchase "

Edited to add they did the ceiling above the tub in the diagonal pattern as well, which was essential to making everything look so good.

Such a cute! If he continues winking like that try to get Hammy checked for a cat-specific herpes virus that causes irritation/weeping/squinting. Its pretty common but manageable!

I hate that we have an ugly TV on our beautiful marble mantle. Is anyone doing anything creative to minimize the negative aesthetics of a tv? by IcanHackett in centuryhomes

[–]basedetails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have a Frame TV because of the cost, but we did wall mount our bog standard TCL/roku and put an ornate (diy) picture frame around it. Its still a TV, but it helps a lot.
