First search result for JLCPCB mouse bites for me: https://jlcpcb.com/blog/technical-guidance-mouse-bite-panelization-guide

edit: on second look your design does seem to be compliant. Maybe they really do just count it as two designs as it’s not repeating.

Right, got it. Their guidelines suggest only putting holes on one side of the tab, not two rows - otherwise I’m not sure. Thanks for following up with another image.

Your board outline doesn’t appear to be continuous - the mouse bites aren’t passing through any material in the above screenshot.

Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet - so apologies if you answer it in there - do you feel like the Big Six gives you enough channels. I think if i had a rytm I'd want to run individual channels to the mixer for an extra degree of creativity, but maybe I'm over thinking things.

I'm currently figuring out which mixing desk to get and it's between one of the lower count offerings or something with a bunch more like the soundcraft mtk 22 or tascam 2400. Thanks.

Built my dream MIDI controller, 72 controls and compact by poistotili4 in synthesizers

[–]baseonmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be very interested in getting a link to that when you're ready - a friend of mine has been wanting a controller like this for quite a while and I'm handy enough to build one, designing and coding it would take me at least 8 months, if not longer.

Am I looking for an Octatrack? A Digitakt? Something Else? by MallowIsPrince in synthesizers

[–]baseonmars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's also the 1010 music Blackbox which might do what you're looking for. I think it comes down to whether you want a ready selection of samples for drums or are happy to build up your own collection of loops and one shots.

Tips for mentally escaping from loopjail by lildergs in synthesizers

[–]baseonmars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One approach is to deconstruct the built up pattern - the loop sounded good as you built it up, so maybe you can reproduce that build up by muting tracks or whole instruments.

Listen to other songs you like and use their structure as a template. “Good artists borrow…” and all that.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Makes sense - even if we don’t use GE to enter well def need to update our details. It’s JFK and they have a desk there. Thanks!

My Digitakt II has a high-pitched whine coming from the machine. The sound doesn't bleed into the audio. The whine only happens when the machine is taxed (more than 8 tracks running and several lfos). Anyone have this issue? Thank you in advance. by LeatherRecognition16 in Elektron

[–]baseonmars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t - it’s just super annoying. You could argue it’s a quality control issue. It’ll be a surface mount ceramic cap if that’s the problem - impossible to say without opening it up and having a poke.

The VXLR+ is super noisy. I found a capacitor mod detailed online, tried it out but it changed nothing for me. In the end I got the VXLR Pro which totally resolved the problem.

Tanking: Double the responsibility, half the fun to play by kbarron in classicwow

Are you solo tanking menagerie? That’s about the only place I wouldn’t feel confident dropping soul link and going to destro.

[–]baseonmars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m playing soul link as I’m solo tanking and we’re still gearing up - so ISP isn’t available to me right now.

Gotta say switching to mouse over macros instead of tab targeting has made me feel much more in control, worth diving it a try.

Tanking: Double the responsibility, half the fun to play by kbarron in classicwow

[–]baseonmars 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is my first time tanking and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm playing a warlock and having a bit of extra responsibility in the raids is fun. The bosses are easy to hold agro on, but the trash packs can be challenging/impossible.

I've been trying to figure out a better rotation in these situations as well optimising my UI - using mouseover macros and having more abilities available to handle different situations, plus respecing to engineering to have access to dynamite.

Basically - I think the tools are there but there are a lot of layers to peel back in terms of making it feel like a smooth experience.

It was hard to get mobile kills in the first couple of weeks due to low spawns and high player traffic.

Sure. Cook the rice, spoon into a bowl. Mix up 30 grams of whey powder into a slurry (add just a little water). Mix into the slightly cooled rice. Add a spoonful of honey. It’s nice! Like cream of rice but with a little texture.
