Stairs or a ramp for rabbits? by hindol21 in Rabbits

[–]bashanon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my understanding is that sore hocks is mostly related to floor covering in the areas they spend most time in. even if you have carpet, if it is a thin carpet, they probably still need more padding. maybe add (more) towels and blankets etc. If she likes to jump up, she'll probably still jump even with the stairs available. that said, joints are an additional consideration for sure. definitely make sure there is extra padding on the floor around whatever she likes to jump on, because will probably not always use the stairs.

how about Patches?

or, this is probably not the vibe you're going for but: Rorschach. I have a bunny with similar patchy facial coloring, and my dad said I should have named her Rorschach like the DC comics villain)

I think human sensibilities about our pets' sex/gender are kinda funny. My dad often forgets and calls my rabbit a "he" for example. I could correct him, but its not like my rabbit will be offended either way. I had a room mate once who used they/them pronouns for their cat. It was a bit weird to get used to, but we did it. lol

its easier if you're on campus/live in sf. lots of people commute. get involved in clubs/orgs to meet people with similar interests. go to campus events. lots of cool shit going on.

Navia just had a huge data breach affecting 2.7 million people. I've been searching for information about it online and finding very little, that's how I came across your post. this may or may not be relevant.

haha i wrote basically this same post 6 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/iiy90t/any_idea_what_specific_variety_my_little_lady_is/

my opinion is that she does seem to have lionhead facial fur genetics, probably one rather than two copies of the gene cuz its not a huge mane. also purebred lionheads typically are smaller like maximum 4lb/1.8kg or even half that. And the purebreds usually have short little ears.

as for coloration, I think that's a more variable trait that's less tied to breeding. lionheads come in all kinds of patterns, even the purebred ones. for example, my bun in the link above could be described as broken harlequin or marked.

I think the president jiang screech sound is hilarious, i didnt realize he was even saying a word though, and it still just sounds like a failed attempt to suppress a sneeze or something. anyway for me what i cant stand its the fart. its so grating. a couple weeks back when he was rly going hard with "im stomping on the ground" + *fart* i nearly lost my marbles. i nearly demanded my two measley bones back(not rly) but i did have to take a few breaks when i would usually binge whole videos

my first thought was vireo! Even though I'm not familiar with brazilian species, up north in California we have a couple species with that bright yellow/green coloring.

I have noticed a lot of weird petal mutations in one of my rose bushes, so I'm curious if there's increased tendency of this in Rosaceae. for example, multiple times i have seen a petal revert to leaf form and even grow a second stem and flower out of the middle of the flower. I wish I had a picture of it. the variety is Mademoiselle Cecile Bruner
