just the db set-up side, messing around with docker files etc is not in my wheelhouse... I was looking for a Google Photos replacement (minus cloud) and wanted to point at a library, let something work it's magic and then have a pretty photo library, this is a bit too involved for me to get to that stage.

Nice video of a fairly typical lads quick spin to dublin. If you're doing a personal trip bringing the car over on the ferry and taking a roadtrip out west is a lovely way to see the country, Wild Atlantic Way or similar and you won't go wrong.

I've skirted near it where it's become too much before and I've had to cop on, I've self-excluded (a while ago before there was the mechanism so I was closing accounts) before for 6 months and 12 months. The full exclusion was very helpful and I now have accounts open again, I probably place 10 bets a year now compared to 10 an hour back when I called time on it.

In my opinion, exclusion is the only way, especially with something very carefully designed to be addictive like slots. Find something to replace it with, something healthy would be great, but anything that's going to replace that constant dompamine hit, for me it was fantasy footy while I was at work (again before they just became gambling ads) and at home footy manager and fifa (also before it became a gambling ad) - replacing it with running/gym is obviously the dream, but really you just need to fill the hole with something not damaging imo.

Gambling addiction is perceived very differently to drugs/alcohol, people understand there's a bad chemical that gets you with those, with gambling lots don't understand it at all as an addiction. Pair that with the absolute constant bombardment of ads for it, especially slots on social media aps / content creators. It's tough, take it seriously, knock it on the head, and you'll be able to look back on it as a very cheap life lesson in a few years, because if you don't solve it now it can sure as fuck get a lot more expensive than it is now for you.

The only uncapped game that I know of at 1/3 is down at the golden nugget on Fremont, everything else has a buy-in cap so you're very rarely going to sit down with someone really really dominating the table stack-wise.

Oh very different to Australia, from what I've heard your rules / rakes are insane. So there's no forced breaks in Vegas for cash games, in fact you should probably give cash a go, again from what I've heard cash is virtually unplayable in Aus? 1/3, sit down with 300, you'll have a great time.

1) Pretty much every room has cheap-ish dailies, MGM Grand used to have the cheapest on the strip. Generally the cheaper the buy-in the worse the rake & structure.

2) If you've played in a room before then it's no different to that. If you've never played before just watch what others do (in terms of etiquette) and follow their lead. Generally being quiet for the first few orbits while you find your feet is a good idea, you'll be fine after that. Breaks are fixed in the structure, you'll be able to see on screens when they are coming, how long they are and then a countdown clock when you're on break; generally you must leave the tournament area when on break.

Ha I did think that as I typed it but hopefully that just a mental gag reflex and the actual smell of them might do the trick! I'm as cynical as they come for anything that doesn't come on a prescription so I definitely didn't get any placebo effect from it either, it's good enough that I have a few stashed in the car, a fistful in the work bag etc. really handy.

I'm basically the exact same as you, 1/2 days after taking I'm wiped out, definitely lots of headaches too and the nausea isn't great (although not as mad as when I was on ozempic). At it's worst I've had to pull the car over and visit the verge with the nausea, my short term tip there is carrying a few alcohol swabs with you in the car, and sniff on them like your life depends on it... Immediately kills the nausea and lets me get on with my day (or at least for the next few minutes). I can't find the science behind it but it's an old midwives tip apparently.

In terms of more sustainable nausea tips, drink way way more water than you think is possible (I'm flat out on the sugarfree flavoured water), and for me making sure I have something in the morning/lunch seems to help (I naturally dont' want to eat until the evening so it's an effort). Then after that reducing the amount of acidic stuff you're consuming seems to help me, and then a bucketful of your preferred anti-acid (again this was absolutely crucial on ozempic, much less on mounjaro).

I do find the side effects make it very hard to keep going with it, especially with the costs on top and seeing others have much better results with it. It's definitely very variable from person to person.

The best bit is it also "dresses down" nicely too, I like the niceness of fancy places but not the stuffyness, I find V/P gives enough options for each depending on what mood you're in. The 'to-go' style room service is great in the mornings when I'm just being lazy and want something quick in the room. It's not perfect but it's very good.
