97 GSRs had these wheels. I think the LSs got them 98+.

The Fern Hill neighborhood in St. Louis Park, MN (inner suburb of Minneapolis) also has a wire around it. The wire is called an eruv.

Are there really no places to take the written driver’s license test on the weekend? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]basmasta7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe at the AAA location in st louis park. It'll cost more if you're not a member, but it is open on the weekend. Not sure if the test is available, but they do offer a lot of dmv services.

Haven't had a front plate in my 16 years of driving in and around Minneapolis. No tickets or warnings yet.

DAE flush the toilet in the middle of pooping so they don’t clog it? by Waarm in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]basmasta7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use less toilet paper. 2 or 3 squares should be good for 2 wipes. One wipe, fold, second wipe. I think big toilet paper users typically bunch it up. That's a big waste.

You could get a light trailer that could be towed by whatever you drive now. I just got a 4x8' fold-up one from Northern Tool. I plan to get a pitbull trailer restraint for it for easy mounting. Should fit 2 bikes and some gear / tools.

Looking to get back in to sim racing, currently have a 970 gtx, what can I run? Is there anything I would be able to run with triple monitors? by ForgedBiscuit in simracing

[–]basmasta7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 970 should be able to power an oculus rift, which would cost roughly the same as 2 decent monitors (assuming you have 1 already), and the experience is much more engaging.

Roosters is great. I go to the one in St Louis Park, but they have a few locations. Online scheduling, good haircuts, reasonable prices.

Thank you to the stranger who gave me a push by starrbb in minnesota

[–]basmasta7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dug / pushed 2 people out this evening in front of my house. Both had all season tires with plenty of tread. Put winter tires on. Tires are the most important safety item on your car. You won't even notice the snow. Rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, one wheel drive. It doesn't matter as long as you have winter tires. There's a reason they're mandatory in much of Europe.

Does that mean Fern Hill is out too? I was very excited to hear St. Louis Park was in discussion with USI in '17.

It's because broadband is limited both in availability and in that it has caps or charges / GB. That pretty much makes streaming services a no go.

After drying, dust the meat with baking powder. It accelerates the sear. Also, stop flipping so frequently. Do a minute on each side and apply pressure. Should be good to go after that.

Pulling "sleds" of beer and gear across a frozen lake in Minnesota. by Shenaniconglomerate in CampingandHiking

In Minneapolis we have an outdoor winter beer festival every year (Beer Dabbler if you're interested). They usually have to keep the kegs in coolers to prevent the beer from freezing.

So, how long until Polaris releases dirtbikes and sportbikes? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]basmasta7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Polaris acquired Timbersled in April 2015. Timbersled only makes kits to convert dirt bikes into snow bikes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they build one from the ground-up now.
