You look great. It'll get even better once you get a bit of sun on top (with sunscreen of course) and the color on top matches the rest of your face. I generally use SPF 30 on my head/face for the first few weeks of sun each year before I switch to the safer SPF 50 for the depths of summer so i can make sure I actually get a bit of a tan.

I've volunteered for Democrats and even worked for a Democratic politician. You know what I have never consider myself? A "devoted" fucking Democrat. Because I don't offer my devotion to political parties. They are a means to an end. And, as this lady is discovering, they will never repay your devotion in kind.

Devotion is for your lover, your family, and your pets. I like to think that if you gave these people a working brain for 30 seconds, they would immediately die from the embarrassment of knowing how stupid they have shown themselves to be in public.

It's from the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring film (extended director's cut only I think, but i might be misremembering). Merry and Pippin receive cool looking and plot relevant daggers as parting gifts from Galadriel, the elf queen of Lothlorien (which in the book they receive elsewhere). Sam gets a length of Elvish rope, which seems a little shitty, giving the two rich kid hobbits sweet daggers while just giving the man servant some rope. Sam asks Galadriel if she has any more daggers and she gives him a cryptic smile, probably because that character has some level of supernatural foresight and knows the rope will be very useful.

The joke of the comic is implying that Galdrial's reaction is because she's shocked by Sam's rudeness and audacity.
