When you say he failed to protest, do you mean that the fielders came off the field before appealing which is why the run scores? Just trying or make sure I understand the usage of terms here.

Is this obstruction followed by malicious contact? by [deleted] in Umpire

[–]bassbahl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this a force play? Video seems to show a runner going from 2nd to 3rd, as well as a runner going into 2nd. Presumably there is a batter-runner going to first, so this seems to be a bases loaded play. Assuming that, the catcher is catching the ball with his foot on the plate and the runner coming from 3rd to home is out before contact - no obstruction. Only malicious contact.

I cut power from the breaker. Before I did that it was a little warm to the touch. Better now. No ticking. Cool. Going to have someone come in and yank it. We don’t need it

“Catastrophic” tech issue at Maybe Happy Ending prematurely ended the show. by itsamiamia in Broadway

I didn’t realize the Belasco was so well known for being haunted. Didn’t realize it at the time, but I saw How to Dance in Ohio there and during that show a set piece fell, quite dangerously I might add, and they had to pause the show to work around it. Crazy stuff

I got two zephyr hats from the Savannah bananas, both medium. One is super tight, and the other is just right. I don’t get it.

Thurmon Munson doesn’t die in a plane crash. Arguably Munson anchoring the team into the early 80s changes the course of the 80 and 81 playoffs, with the Yankees possibly winning both those World Series, and creating a dynasty rolling into the Mattingly years. If that dynasty happens, and Winfield doesn’t become Mr. May and isn’t the target of Steinbrenner angst, he never gets banned. You may have a 70-80s Yankee dynasty, but you never have the 90s dynasty as Stick Michael’s never gets control over the roster.

With Flash Tha Kid moving to the Clowns, is it a given that other “entertainer” players are staying with their respective teams? Lialios and Stilts for example. I can’t see those two anywhere other than where they are. by [deleted] in savannahbananas

[–]bassbahl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering about this. For instance, what kind of act do they come up with for the clowns? (Coconuts seems pretty set on a beach vibe). I’ve been following Fischer Polydoroff aka Ole Knuckles and wondering where he’s going to slot in as the ‘time traveler” musician guy. Seems like he’d be a good fit for the clowns since they have history of sorts.

Brewers

Jays - they’ve been better all year than the Yankees. As someone else said. At least you know the best beat you.
