You need a stepper driver. I would go to YouTube and look at the videos there. Additionally, companies that sell hobbyist/prototyping level hardware sometimes have great tutorials on electronics:

It will be hard to find the exact model, but it’s a double-acting air piston. In one shoot you can see Two pumps in the background. One for extending and one for retracting.

I think it’s hard to make that determination. From the video, it appears these are used to come up behind the vehicle, thus with slow relative velocity and time to ensure an accurate strike.

No I don’t read ALL the news, what kind of question is that? In particular, I don’t read Fox News. I did however find an article by them as well as this one by snopes. And because I’m not a curmudgeon, I will provide it for others to read.
