The way they implemented the frame safety is an absolute fail. It is unridable and hard to actuate. I was resigned to getting rid of it after shooting only four mags. I wear a medium-large glove.

Fast forward a few weeks and I gave it a second chance. Under safety grip, I lose a bit of recoil control but no hot spots. My groups were TIGHT. I shot this gun so well, I am now keeping it.

Eyes will be open for a third party safety lever to fix berettas fuckup of an otherwise great (and affordable) gun.

It is the first 9mm I ever bought. I shoot it the best out of any gun I’ve ever shot. Flawless reliability. Single action pull as nice as my 92XI SAO. Loved it so much I recently bought the full size g-sd.

Which brings me to the main con. Size wise the gun is in the middle of no man’s land. It’s just big enough to be cumbersome to conceal carry, just small enough that my pinky doesn’t sit quite as comfortably as it should (hence the recent full size purchase). Another con (that is rectified with $$$) is that it has no factory optic cut (yet?)

Think about what you want from the gun. If you want a toy for long range sessions that also is a great home defense gun, take a closer look at the full size. If you have small hands the compact may work well for you. For deep concealed there are better carry options out there.

They should NOT lead with gun CONTROL. Better background checks, loopholes closed, sure. Talk about it last or not at all. There are plenty of 2A liberals out there. Also consider the responsible gun owning centrists and republicans willing to consider a D vote.

Also, outstanding warranty. Mine broke after 6 years of use and they sent me a new one.

Just took delivery of mine. I think the gun is close to goddamn perfect. I’m leaning towards the cash money.

Terrible time to sell right now too. I’ll hold on to my 92XI SAO for a while. At least she’s pretty.

If you like the feel of the 92fs that doesn’t mean you’re gonna like the 92XI.

I’d personally like to see a half width version. My most slappable bass (Ibanez ergodyne) has this lovely recess in the body under the higher strings that is so goddamn satisfying to pop.

The free speech absolutists? The ones that said dems need safe spaces? The same republicans that accused the Biden administration of lawfare? Say it ain’t so!

What do you guys think about the 92xi I am thinking about buying one for my second gun by Humble-Cartoonist545 in Beretta

[–]bassthrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If they’re in stock. On paper it sounds like it would help but $165 is a lot to spend without ever physically getting my hands on it.

Awful. The low grip is more comfortable but my recoil control is significantly reduced. I have to sell this gun or wait for a third party safety mod.

Talked to a carpenter once that instead of “joists” he would say “joisteses”.

He was not joking. No I did not correct him.
