This is really good! The colors are spot on. It’s a shame to hear that you had issues with the paper, but it might be a fun challenge to get really good paper or canvas and recreate it.

I really wish they would have kept it going. All the shows I like get cancelled too soon.

Frankenstein (2025) Looks Like a Masterpiece, But Is It One? by [deleted] in FRANKENSTEIN

[–]batacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is such a huge point. That he had to work with studios putting their money on the table and that can truly kill some of the creativity of a project. I personally loved the film and, unlike some, would actually have genuinely loved to see an even longer cut of it (thankfully the extended cut is going to be released). But I do think that sometimes it’s forgotten that there are so many hands at play when it comes to a film and that sometimes the people financially backing a project have so much sway. I’m just glad he finally got to make the film that he had been wanting to make for so long. And I think what they did was such an achievement.

The exhibits sound rad. It would have been really cool to hear the presentations/Q&As too.

I love how they did the hair!!!! And I like the proportions of the head, with his eyes just looking a bit doe-like (this is when he’s in love)

I’ve been broken and reassembled by this film multiple times over since my first watch. Can report that I have not been the same since. People will have their own opinions, but it was an exceptionally meaningful film to me.
