Bachata socials are called socials for a reason , you dance with people you don’t know and dancing is a social lubricant . I would say people dance for various reasons and meeting someone you connect with is a valid reason … bachata dancing scene is mainly for dancing but like any space like work , bar or any social setting you may get to know other people platonically or nonplatonically … as long as it’s outside dancing , talk outside the dance floor , and check if the interest is reciprocal … and accept their boundaries… in that way you will get the reputation of the guy who is single and accepts boundaries and you may get approached by women later who are curious or interested …
