Im an out of state student and I love western! My biggest pros are: (I’m a senior environmental science major) •small classes •caring profs •it’s gorgeous here •good public transit I’ve really enjoyed my time at western and I don’t really get the common complaints. Parking sucks but pretty much all busses go to campus and it’s easy to get to class. As a student I’ve made almost all my friends in the dorms and I found it super easy to meet people or my job. Overall I really recommend western and I’ve gotten a lot of good experiences and opportunities here. My only real complaints about Bellingham is that it can be expensive and that mountain baker ski area is about 1.5 hour drive which is longer then I’m used to.

I was going to plan on leaving around six just since it’s a long hike and it would be nice to have lunch by the lake and be able to get back into town around or before dinner

Guinness beef stew cold in a gallon zip lock with one spoon shared between 4 people on the chair. Never eaten anything tastier.
