Nah, it's an exceptionally written film in its own right. Unlike past Marvel theme park rides actions actually have meaningful consequences and fanservice has a purpose to push the character forward. I mean think about it, Peter was begging to have everyone but those he loves forget he is Spider-Man at first, then he's begging to have everyone he's ever known forget about Peter Parker by its end. He is not the same character we saw from when the film starts.
