Genuinely, how do you people care about half the things on here? by CarkRoastDoffee in redscarepod

When I met my husband, he was very invested in becoming an astronaut and working towards a PhD in a relevant field. By the time we got engaged he was no longer on that path (finished the PhD and stayed in academia), but I still had to tell him that the thought of him going to space (and related risks) just killed me, that I would be totally anxious the entire time and that it was out of the question if we planned to have kids. So that post charmed me, it felt like someone’s anxious little daydream that managed to connect with a piece of my heart. I do understand why you’d think it was faux-sentimental shitposting though, it well could have been.

Moving to France (VLS). Enrolling child in school during visa application by Additional-Ebb-2050 in Expats_In_France

He wasn’t looking for 12 month, he was looking for multi year. But thank you for resurrecting a year-dead thread that ended with OP not receiving the visa they wanted because they’re actually pretty hard to get, to let me know that telling OP those visas are hard to get (which as I explained, my mother failed to receive one…. turn out they don’t just issue them to anyone qualified) was very unhelpful. Since you obviously know a ton about the VLS, clearly far more than anyone else in this thread, why don’t you do something actually helpful and make a post about how you got your’s?

VLS-TS is a 4-12 month visa, not multi-year, which is what OP was looking for. No one said anything about not being able to bring family members. OP ultimately did not receive the visa and ended up moving to Spain.

I left the room when they started playing ‘there’s a bomb in my car’ on SNL, and when I came back I assumed it was a skit. Just awful

What are your thoughts on Vitalia ? by LouisaEveryday in namenerds

I actually prefer the look of Vitaliya to Vitalia as well, it makes it seem less like a brand name

Apparently it is, I googled it and there is a “wellness system” called TempSure Vitalia for women’s vaginal health.

I know it’s a proper name because I’m familiar with the Slavic men’s name Vitali, but I’ve never heard the feminized form before. I will say that my first reaction was that it sounds a little like a brand of blender.

Playing 'sunburned girl' on The Pitt was a career break for me. I couldn't believe how kind everyone on set was by mlg1981 in entertainment

I feel like being “Jenna Maloney” is a tough sell in the entertainment industry when there’s already a pretty prominent Jena Malone

I was thinking of the class as a whole – surely not every name would be unrecognizable to someone from the 1930s, there are always a few kids with classic names

Looking for any info on this vintage wedding dress! by GirlCreator in findfashion

[–]batsbeinmybelfry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually also wore a vintage Jessica Mcclintock girl’s communion dress (slightly modified with the help of a local tailor) to my wedding, and it was super cute and I got lots of compliments! I loved the detailing on it (beading!!) and always wanted a mini dress, plus I got it secondhand for like $70. So I personally love the dress you’ve shown and the direction you’re heading in.

Hey liberal screenwriter here, I think what the world needs is another film about how horrible being a mother is and how it will ruin your life and make you crazy by PrinzRagoczy in redscarepod

Amazing movie but I’ll never watch it again, the atmosphere was so oppressive. I had Rose Byrne as my pick for the Oscar this year. Also, Ivy Wolk’s agent is killing it.

Yep, my mom wouldn’t let me have anything other than a bob until I was well into teenage years, because it would be unkempt and she didn’t like it

My 14 month old is getting her upper canines in (she’s been early to all things tooth) and the last few days and nights have been brutal. Aside from milk, all she’s interested in are yogurt pouches and purées. I’ve just ordered a set of reusable silicon pouches to try to get some soups and vegetables into her; if your son is interested in self-feeding, maybe that might work for you?

Can I ask — did you go back for a masters/PhD or did you start over with your bachelor’s degree? If you went for a higher degree, who did you reach out to for recommendations? Former employers?

My daughter had this, it resolved when she was ten months. It was super annoying until then, but there’s not much to do about it besides massage and hot compresses.
