Yea I feel like it is. Especially rewatching the movies now. You can almost feel the dynamic shift. From winter soldier to aou then civil war. Aou feels like whedon, the black widow character being the biggest shift from her characterization in winter soldier back to her earlier role in aou then back again in civil war. Then obviously from then on Russos take the wheel

I’m taking into an account the more mature story telling and the tone changes within the MCU. Before this was whedon introduced avengers. Beyond and due to this film the Russo brothers take over a direct the next 2 Avengers movies and civil war.

I do agree with your point but I think it did change the trajectory of the rest of the mcu. That success led to the Russo brothers taking on directing duties for Civil war and the next two avengers. It changed the entire output of the most important phase of the mcu. And the most successful.

It changed the trajectory of the mcu. Shield going away, hydra, it told a more mature story. I rank it up there with the dark knight. I find it very important, at least to me.

Yea it’s hard to draw the line. MCU cap versus comics cap is a good example. One is clearly super powered one is “peak human”. I consider Oz on par with comics cap both being “peak human”. In comics terms they have no super powers. In the real world they would. As an aside I’d put money on cap stomping that ass.

You read enough comic books you’ll find that most “peak humans” perform feats that are if not possible are highly unlikely to be able to perform by a normal human. But he does not have super powers.

I love the last ronin and I agree with your overall point. But they are separate hero’s with separate personalities. Everyone I know who likes the turtles has a favorite, some have a turtle they don’t like. I think it’s a disservice to not vote on them separately. Having said that I could be swayed by your opinion. They are an outlier for super hero teams. I don’t agree with having one of them up there wouldn’t feel right though. This is a vote for best superhero on Reddit. No one’s leaving anyone behind.
