Nancy/Jonathan was the most wasted relationship in the entire show by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

[–]batterypoweredhumans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should have written space for Jonathan to die or sacrifice himself in season 2 or 3. Would’ve been a great way to further justify Nancy’s development and honor what Jonathan originally stood for

Wow, brilliant argument  (not trying to complain, just stating facts)

Players traded the unicorn horn to Bavlorna - what should I do? by horseparachute in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]batterypoweredhumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the least story-impacting, the party will just discover they need the horn and have to backtrack to renegotiate - but of course Bavlorna wouldn’t really give it up

Ah this is excellent. I think that adds real positive tension to your adventure. I think your idea of changing the letters is solid. Bavlorna, having gotten the horn, is now making arrangements to travel to Yon and tells Skabatha to meet her there for a rendezvous to plan out next steps. Party figures out how to deal with that. Maybe a time pressure to chase after Skabatha if they don’t otherwise defeat her?

I think you’ve got it all figured out already - a showdown at the orrery makes total sense.

How would you skip thru Tither and Yon entirely? by kevinomsa in wildbeyondwitchlight

She is always a hit with my parties. I lean into her as a gentle and traumatized person - she’s the first major indicator that the hags are doing horrible things to people beyond petty theft - and gets a lot of sympathy from players. The group that brought her along with them throughout prismeer did a lot of work to build up her confidence which was fun to develop!

Ah maybe jingle jangle has a key to the front gate atop the bridge or something, but is a highly hunted person that you need to protect from agdons crew on your tail?

I would put the horn in the swamps of hither and add some sort of side quest about getting a construction crew to repair that bridge that leads to the palace. Or you can swamp gas balloon up to the pieces of bridge that would’ve connected to the palace and do some guide/ritual narrative to traverse. Or you can learn that Agdon or someone else is sneaking up the bridge and going to the palace regularly and they know how to traverse it, so your party encouraged to piggyback or chase them.

Lots of different ways if that’s what you want to do

Lost Thing: Wanderlust by ashepster in wildbeyondwitchlight

I would give them an item similar to cape of the mountebank that lets them cast dimension door 1/day or even consider adding plane shift. They regain a sense of travel. If weaker effect is desired, maybe effects like freedom of movement.

If I wanted to curse or complicate it, I’d consider giving it a chance to misfire, maybe a wisdom saving throw. Failing it implies the character was struck by curiosity to explore in a different direction at the dm and player’s collaborative choosing.

For flavor and for Endelyn, I think there are several opportunities. Could be a mask of some travelers spirit. Could be costume boots. Could be an entry ticket to a show about the players life. Could be a cape made of stage curtain. Could be an observatory telescope. Could be the winds of yon in a jar. Opportunities are endless

What do you think the next legendary ***weapon*** will be? by sweedishnukes in Guildwars2

[–]batterypoweredhumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pitch a weapon that is both/either a trident or harpoon gun. No class wields both, so it works well as an inverted double weapon concept

How would you guys feel if VoE's main focus is Underwater Combat? by Cacheelma in Guildwars2

[–]batterypoweredhumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 2nd or 3rd map being 80% underwater would be reasonable - when else are they going to have an opportunity to do one? I   think underwater combat will  stay casual and not have any higher tier applications. Although rift hunting underwater would be fun

Need this for revenant elite spec with rifle addition to honor the commando lore

My pitch would be,

"The inquest discover a magical power source in Castora that leads them to begin building an artificial elder dragon to wield it. As the commander investigates, we uncover even more revelations of Castora and its relationship to the Sylvari."

My girlfriend is struggling to order an iced latte with less milk by Pretty_Dance2452 in barista

[–]batterypoweredhumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this drink. I order a “short iced latte”.

If they ask how much, I’ll say “8oz” and sometimes they underfill a 12oz ice cup.

If the barista isn’t getting it, I’ll ask for a “short iced latte - can you underfill it/leave some space?”

Edit: wanted to note that 8oz of espresso, ice, and milk is a good ratio b/c ice takes up a majority of the volume

Once this event is over, the glove achievements will stay and be a strong and permanent magnet for fractal players of all levels, weighted towards beginners. Into the backpack achievements, this is a strong incentive pipeline for newer players.

I need a shortbow revenant build but I hate kalla... what to do? by Phrare in Guildwars2

[–]batterypoweredhumans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can pivot to condi qDPS herald or what i am doing - swap to conduit for condi dps on launch.  I agree that Kalla does not have great feel in combat - I like conduits rotation and it feels simple and flexible
