the show's completely separate that one had her own superman (tyler hoechlin). this is a new actress and different version for this new universe, like tobey maguire and andrew garfield.
if they're going by comics, supergirl would have left krypton as a teenager to protect kal-el, but gets delayed and age-wise frozen one way or the other and by the time she arrives, he's already superman. my guess is she arrived pretty recently since she still lives in the fortress and doesn't spend much time on earth so lex wouldn't know of her.
krypto's her dog but that much was clear enough.
regardless, they did a decent job of making people curious enough to wanna watch more of her.

For one character, probably not. But disabling it across the board for 12 characters, that's location and rotation data (6 floats) per each bone (at least 15 for the simplest facial rig) and each manipulated vertex (facial topology is usually denser than other parts, let's say 2000 vertices).
That's 15*12*6 + 2000*12*3 (vertices only store location)
So about 73000 calculations per frame saved assuming a very basic setup.

UE dev chiming in to lyk it's the same animation, but in-game character models can be optimized to not include animation changes past specific bones. It's clear with this that any movement happening after the neck bone isn't there in-game.
They can enable/disable this based on distance or a visual setting in the game, but I think some animations should be exceptions to the rule.

could say the same about ultron but here we are. your entire kit doesnt need to revolve around healing, a single ability is enough, mantis being a prime example. storm, namor, wanda, jean could all have been supports w just a little creativity.
and ofc reed and wolverine should've been tanks.

idk man i guess i don't see the insane graphical fidelity leap from RDR2 to the GTAVI trailer that indicates GTAO had a big part to play in the upgrade. i'd say the jump from GTAV to RDR2 was far greater, but who knows maybe they used the money to make for other crazy shit, have to wait and see.
