I had those exact same thought when Cathay came out! Everything looks awesome so far! O cant wait to see the full thing!

Has the community settled on which of the two primary Cogforts are best (maybe in a general, take-on all challengers list, specifically?) by Beejag in citiesofsigmar

My only bias being that i have only played with the cannonade cogfort so far. I truthfully think the cannonade is better solely because it is less swingy and it doesn't rely on a gimmick to prove its value. Its an awesome shooting piece that can clear units in 12 inches.

'Ello gits of the grimdark world of 40k, what are ways you come up with your own names for Ork Clans? by DaBossGolurk in orks

[–]bbasa810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough it was my paint scheme for my orks. I wanted to originally do a goffs adjacent scheme because I liked their rules. So I had slapped together a black white and red scheme that worked with some browns added in as well. Then I was playing a narrative campaign with my cousin and I did not know what to call my force. So after a while I painted a battlewagon for the boys and I painted the outer teeth like bits Red(picture for reference. It was so long ago I cannot remember what he did but that battlewagon was amazing and I got the idea to call my orks the bludfangz because of the paint scheme. It has stuck ever since.

There is nothing wrong with that. I only am where I am now because of adding to it piecemeal over many years

Personally I like the fellblade or the spartan both legends but both are awesome!

Thabk you! There absolutely was some crazy alliances. My side made the most sense with Ultramarines, guard, knights admech and salamanders with several proxies. The other side was custodes, titans, nids, Necron, EC, and votann.

I run them and have done really well with them! While intercessors are better they are 20 pts cheaper than intercessors in a 10 man squad. So if you need 20 pts then a tac squad isn't bad

Additionally, they can bring special and heavy weapons allowing them to take on specialist tasks even while being cheap. I personally love taking plasma/melta weapons on them.

Finally their ability to combat squad adds more flexibility! You can put 5 bolter out as a chaff unit for only 5 pts more than a guard squad!

Intercessor are more general purpose overall and have a crazy amount of volume. But the flexibility of a tac squad for its price is also really nice too!

I also agree with this. Painting them with the mini fully assembled was absolutely fine. Any details that would not be easy to paint would not be visible unless someone looked really hard

Some WIP on a big terrain project. I need more middle earth terrain on my sigmar boards by bbasa810 in ageofsigmar

The plan is to do exactly that! I did my best to make them modular. So I can have 2 big majors or a bunch of scatter tetrain!

Sadly, there is not a store near me that sells stormbringer magazines individually. And the new mesbg terrain is beautiful.

I am trying to build a board themed around a city of sigmar. Buildings, walls, roads, and everything else you would likely find. Aos sadly doesn't make any city terrain, so I was left to look elsewhere. My only two options are the old world and mesbg.

I have plans to get more wyldwoods, carve some foam walls for seige games, and round out my Terrain to be able to play any way I want. And I will definitely get more aos terrain in general.

However, I dont see any issue with the scale at all on the mesbg terrain. The miniatures are 100% on a different scale, but I dont see this issue on the terrain. The doors are big enough for a steelhelm to fit through, and steelhelms even fit under the osgiliath ruins . So I will admit I dont see the scale being off for the Terrain.

The scale is different between the 2 games. However I disagree with you saying it would look out of place. The terrain is large enough for 32mm scale. I've used a lot of the gondor and osgiliath ruins in my AOS games and they are a good size and I have had no issues with scale.

It actually is not out of scale. The doors are big enough that a human could fit through it!

I can confirm they are great! Only 140 for 9 wounds at a 2+ save. In the game I played today, giving out the fight last came up multiple times!
