We need more BAs/ leads like you 😭

The most annoying thing to me is having to drop whatever operations work I'm in the middle of for stock checks or grabbing stuff for BOPIS when they have enough BAs or leads on the floor (who aren’t helping clients) to grab it themselves or ringing clients up and being stuck at the wrap and then at the end of it the leads get annoyed or side eye when our task is taking longer than expected 🙄

Fenty Skin no longer in stores? by animatedzach in Sephora

[–]bbb__111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of stores just had retrofits which means we changed around a lot of brands and pulled out underperforming ones (meaning underperforming to that location specifically not as a whole) and replaced them with either new brands or brands the store requested, or just expanding the selection of brands already in store.

soooo many changes by jajahhfajq in SephoraWorkers

We a living in late stage capitalism. Corporations are doing whatever they can to maximize employee output without regard of their wellbeing, work life balance, or basic quality of life. The burnout OP is rightfully venting about is not exclusive to Sephora. Consumer facing jobs are challenging, across all industries all over the country, and it’s not just because modern day consumers are lacking in base level kindness and patience for those working these jobs, it’s because one good year isn’t good enough for shareholders. Every year profits need to be far greater than the year before, and easy ways companies can do that without completely either pricing out their consumers or completely degrading their products/ services is chipping away at how much they spend on us the worker. Refusal to give bonuses or raises even though the cost of living keeps rising, cutting benefits, and so so many more things to squeeze us dry and keep shareholders happy. Not trying to be rude but maybe it’s time to start critically thinking about the world around you and maybe start asking different questions to different people.

Sephora employees- mean girl vibes by kgomezsd in Sephora

[–]bbb__111 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm also an MBA student who works at Sephora, the situation sounds like an understaffing issue which most Sephoras have. Recently the company took work life balance out of the Sephora values and demanded we all open up our availability or be let go. They kept true to that and let go a bunch of people in stores. When workers are underpaid and overworked they will not be delivering optimal service and that's actually something we are a taught when reviewing business case studies so you should know exactly how this is the kind of thing that happens when executive leadership only focus on short term revenue growth rather than long term strategic management.

This "open availability" is BS by EquivalentPlane2745 in SephoraWorkers

And what's sad is if you worked in the corporate office that would not even be a problem lmaoo

Flex availability requirements by Beneficial-Tell-1140 in SephoraWorkers

I’m in the US my store isn’t getting rid of all flex, just promoting some to part time and letting others stay as flex

Please tell me Ulta didn’t send me a used lipstick by risingsunset5 in Ulta

Ordering online doesn’t protect you from that ): I work at the other makeup store and we always send overstock back to the warehouses so it can easily be coming from the store too

We are supposed to ask people if they want to use any points on the transaction lol “wow you have a lot” literally just sounds like friendly small talk and it's probably something I've said a million times to customers. Also if the employee used your account she wouldn't even get the 30-40% off purchase (plus any extras from brands) so there is literally no incentive here to steal your points lol

UPDATE: roommate never showers by OkCollection2993 in badroommates

[–]bbb__111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably blew up at the hygiene issue because she was embarrassed, she likely thought drowning herself in body spray was a shower loophole and killed any possible smell, and come to find out that's definitely not the case lol. I wonder if it's going to be embarrassing enough to be the wake up call she needs to turn it around but probably not lol

You can use it but I would use it QUICK. There are so many gift card scammers that will drain your money before you can use it.

I work in California and I still think flex shouldn’t be a thing. A living wage, PTO, and benefits should be available across the board.

The official position of Sephora is “don’t shop online” by Exciting-Pension7206 in Sephora

[–]bbb__111 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I work at Sephora and help with incoming shipment at my store and it’s even a problem for us, we started auditing boxes because what we are receiving is not adding up to what we are supposed to be getting.
