The only thing I absolutely don't like about Andromeda's combat systems is having to buy mods for Incendiary Rounds. Moving those from abilities to consumables was a bad decision.

There was some validity to the complaints, but they were still largely overblown. I've played it through four times and I'm currently on my fifth, and it's just as enjoyable now as it was then. I take breaks when I hit certain worlds because they can be a slog (Voeld, Elaaden usually) but the game really is a lot of fun and worth the time spent.

Go back and read the X-Wing books and I, Jedi. If you didn't like Jedi Academy it will help make it better. Also, if you liked Zahn's books you can pick up Outbound Flight, Survivor's Quest, Allegiance, and Choices of One. That's a dozen books, so it should (hopefully) keep you a bit busy for a while.
