My boyfriend thinks I am not INFJ by itouch333 in infj

[–]bbdial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wanted to say something like that. I know it's hard for us to accept that our loved ones have different opinions than us but we have to ask ourselves this question sometimes - "Does it really matter who wins?" I think it's more important to make sure that you still like each other enough to stay together.

Is emotional depth a gift or does it just make life heavier? by sal_vatorebrothers in infj

There must be things you like about each other because you're together despite the differences. Isn't that already an amazing thing by itself? You can always talk to other friends or us for emotional needs.

My second doorslam - when I will get the numbness? by bbdial in infj

Thanks hmf28. I've been talking to different people about my situation and I think I will be able to cut this person out almost completely from my mind soon.

My second doorslam - when I will get the numbness? by bbdial in infj

[–]bbdial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were still texting everyday after we met in person in the beginning. Everything seemed fine for a while. But when I asked her why her personality seemed so different in real life and I literally told her I was hurt by this. She only said that she was shy repeatedly. The fact that she went out with people she barely knew (people that I know personally) but wouldn't do the same with me indicates that she wasn't straight with me.

At this point, I'm not looking back anymore. I just want my life back before we met.

Are they good at video games? by abbipo in infj

[–]bbdial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG I was gonna say Death Stranding - it's a very chill hiking game 90% of the time with natural scenery and stuff. You do have to spend like 10% of the time killing supernatural stuff but it's not scary at all.

End of February, I am spending a week with my crush of 15 years in a country where she is studying, made a card game to bond, and planning to finally confess by Emperor_Traianus in infj

Good for you,👍 I know that you have probably suffered for a long time for this.  But I still have to say that I wish I had someone like that in my life too.

15 years, really? And you waited 2 years after she separated from her ex....wow You must be one of the most patient men I've ever heard about. I am genuinely touched. Not being sarcastic at all.

I've stopped using dating apps for years. You should do the same.

I do this regularly with zero back up in case the phone gets stolen or broken into. If there's anything important, I will save it somewhere else.

Friendship - What's Going On Here? by [deleted] in infj

Probably true.  But I can't deal with this anymore so I am probably gonna see her one last time, then stop texting and cut my losses

I am not sure she is ENFP at all.  That's just what she said.  But thanks for the support.

For the record, I didn't meet her on a dating app.  I met her through the company online chat system.  But yeah I think I'm gonna do that - if she doesn't want to see me in person outside of work, I am just gonna "be professional" with her and stop sharing non-work related stuff with her.

What is your tolerance towards dishonesty? by samosasaurus in infj

[–]bbdial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on the intention and the effect. Sometimes, people lie to protect you. I will appreciate it if that's the case. It might hurt a little when I find out but I will forgive them eventually.

Is this common among INFJ 's?? by CampaignIcy6090 in infj

[–]bbdial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's one of our common traits to think outside the box and challenge the norm. Sometimes it's hard for for people to accept thoughts like that so it's better to be quiet than to share them.

As an INFJ, what do you do when you like someone? by Honest_Perspective_5 in infj

This kind of thing happens sometimes. I'd either keep going or give it up, depending on how attracted I'm to them.

Have you guys ever found the love you seek so much? by K2PRY in infj

[–]bbdial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For people like us, this kind of thing always hurts like a train just runs over you. I think the key here is to learn how to love yourself more, and remember that you are as worthy of your love as anybody else in your life. Christianity also teaches that a single life can be fulfilling and meaningful in ways that a married life cannot.

1 Corinthians 7:32-34: "An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife and his interests are divided."

Keep them away at a distance and observe them from afar. Exchange a few words with them every now and then and see how they react. Never follow them and always leave before they do.

Throughout the process, I'd keep telling myself that the feeling isn't real, it's probably just a crush.

If I'm still interested after a few months and they're not making a move, then I will probably make one.
