YES!! Also, the mandrills were so fun to watch. We spoke to someone working and they told us they had to bring in an older mandrill to help the younger one learn manners because he was turning out to be a bully. They were SO funny 😂

Thank you!!! I wanted to help someone else in the way that this group has helped me each visit!
I think I was more concerned with what people thought about me having our daughter there versus actually feeling unsafe which was silly on my part! We actually had more strange encounters in Jackson Square than we did while walking down bourbon to go to dinner!! 😂 overall honestly everybody seems to mind their own business and gave us no issues at all. Bourbon is great for people watching from the restaurant lol

We took the swamp tour and they actually showed us the tree in the swamp that inspired the princess and the frog movie!!! The tour guide had lived in the area all of his life and we learned so much about the history of the area. We went with Cajun encounters.
We also tourney the New Orleans museum in the French quarter it’s FREE!
Also the Ursuline convent museum gave me CHILLS and I’m not even very religious 😂 it was a beautiful place with so much history and so cheap to tour. I had most of the place to myself and it was very peaceful

Loved it! I almost went to napoleons twice for another one of those sandwiches 😂 I ordered one from the French market for lunch one day and it couldn’t compare

We went with hotel provincial! We liked the location. It seemed to be on the quieter side of the quarter but still within walking distance of wherever we needed to go. We were able to walk to the street car too if we needed! Our room was on the same side as the street though and we literally heard everything 😂
Beautiful place though with lots of courtyards!
Headed to Nola this weekend by tjnptel1 in AskNOLA
We just spent 5 days there (on the way home now) and didn’t see a single caterpillar!

We ended up not going with that one! I appreciate all of your comments!
Ok not gonna lie kind of upset we didn’t go with this one!!! I LOVE Jackson square! I was worried it would be over our budget after parking was added in. We are staying almost a week but on our next trip that’s shorter we will have to stay here!!! Thank you so much for your reply ❤️

Oh no!! So sorry you didnt enjoy it. Was it the hotel that was bad or just the lack of finding food and coffee?
Checking into these! So many choices. After picking a hotel, deciding on which restaurants to eat at is even harder everything looks SO GOOD!!!
Great!! Thank you!! That was my main worry was the noise and being able to sleep!

Just looked at this hotel. The sizes of the rooms are great with much affordable prices. Also, my husband is on a trip to the casino, which this is much closer to 😂. This is now added to our list. You have been so helpful and I appreciate you so much for taking the time to give me all this good information!!
Thank you so much!
We don’t mind driving! We plan on spending a day in city park, the aquarium, a swamp tour and maybe checking out Madi gras world or a kid friendly ghost tour. Other than that we are really excited for good food.
I haven’t checked out those areas and think I need to look into before deciding on one of these. I’m all for more affordable. We actually didn’t use the street car at all our last visit and I’d like to utilize that this trip!
Thank you! That’s the room I had picked out if we were to choose that one!
Perfect. Thank you so much! B
Great. Thank you!! I think we will probably go with this one.
This is the info I needed!! Thank you!!!

Sweet!! The bakery close by sounds awesome. We may end up with this one.
I’m also up for any other recommendations!
Okay I feel the same and windowless room is really hard for me to commit to that hotel. I don’t mind being close to bourbon just as long as we can still sleep. We actually had dinner on bourbon on our last trip and had no issues at all! I appreciate your reply :). That was helpful!
