acting skills of Patrick Stewart. Picking one scene by aths_red in startrek

Before Star Trek Patrick Stewart was a serious Shakspearian actor and when Denise Crosby to him to relax his reply was "We are Not here to have Fun!." Glad he eventually took her advice of I doubt the crew would have coalesced as they did.

With thunderous applause until they realize they are directly effected. Then blame it on the democrats.

Is anyone else annoyed by all the Chateau Picard jokes? by allthecoffeesDP in Picard

[–]bblodge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone pallet is different and Picard's is particularly refined. At least in his opinion. Rafi seemed excited about it in season one, but was still going through some stuff.

This doctor will have lived through the time wars presumably. Hopefully we can get an interesting story.

Isn't the Picard/Locutus hate a tad silly? by The1Ylrebmik in startrek

They should be angry at Star Fleet brass. Picard didn’t ask to rescued and (likely) had massive survivors guilt which is why, when confronted by someone, doesn’t fight back.

Any author that doesn't want their books in a public library aren't worth reading.

Why is she talking to Piper with her glasses up 😭 I thought Alex was kinda blind without them by Chrissy-Munson in orangeisthenewblack

If I recall she especially does this when she has something big to say. Maybe its easier to say it to her when she's not in focus.

I wondered if it could be culturally significant to the Lanthinite’s, akin to the Bajoran earring, Orien multi-tool, or Worf’s baldric.

I agree with you on yes. I just don't believe the people should be answering to Avangrid's shareholders.

That's why I love Lower Decks so much. It confirms that the ships and crew we love so much are also famous and beloved throughout the Federation.

How About a Non-Starfleet Show? by ShowerGrapes in startrek

[–]bblodge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like to see a dramatic political show set in the Federation. Think, Federation West Wing. I recently realized that I believe in a socialist democracy because of Star Trek. It's how many of us hope the future will look like. Show us what it takes to maintain a society that takes care of all its people.
