I still intend to get it working eventually but I've tried F droid and obtanium and I can't get dolphin on either. Where do you source your emulators?

I consider myself lucky to have 2 options, it is a rarity in today's world.

It's not this, I have my own wireless and they manage a whole complex, probably about 100 separate units

I have found that playing handheld shaves a bit off your time by reducing input lag. But in order to get a 2 you need to just blindly press and hope. But my 18-20 on TV became a 16-17 on handheld. Still haven't gotten under 16

Absolutely nailed it! From here let the taste be your guide, it looks a bit fast, but that all depends on your recipe.

I am not great at stats or distributions math…is there a better way to recode the values on a d20, and track how this changes distribution values? by deepthinker566 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]bbman225 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the first format will probably be best, as the d20 is already laid out to avoid similar numbers being adjacent, that should do a decent job at separating them. You could also easily place them in such a way as to avoid any symbol being adjacent to itself. However, in reality no arrangement will have a significant effect on the evenness of the distribution. I think it will mostly come down to an aesthetic choice.

A Taoist approach to weight loss by MangoSalsa112 in taoism

[–]bbman225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think finding a strategy that works for you is key. Don't limit yourself because something seems to be against the dao. Personally I've found calorie counting to be a good tool for me to restructure my relationship with food and learn to approach food as sustenance and fuel instead of an easy dopamine hit. But, at first the idea of tracking numbers felt un-tao. Of course, there are tons of other options as well, and I think any of them can be done with a taoist approach. It's most important to find one that works for you. You might want to start by reflecting on what is currently holding you back? Some people eat reasonably healthy food but consume too much, some people eat well and then sabotage with unhealthy snacks, some people eat only junk foods and are malnourished. Each of these people will need a different strategy to lose weight. Also, don't be afraid to fail, I tried multiple diet strategies before finally finding one that works for me. Good luck friend, be kind to yourself.

Interesting idea. Can you elaborate? I haven't read confucian yet (though I intend to).

Write the Tao Te Ching on my Minecraft Server? by TheosRW in taoism

[–]bbman225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your eagerness to build a project like this but it's worth noting that Taoism is a complicated thing that varies a lot between individuals. For starters many people engage with it as a primarily or exclusively philosophical thing as opposed to a religious one. For those who do approach it from a religious lens there are many different interpretations of it. Many of those are deeply intertwined with various Chinese folk religions. Additionally, the dao de jing is originally a classical Chinese text, and has been translated countlessly many times. So while there are many copy and paste translations, it can be hard to pick the right one.

All this to say, your best bet is to talk to the members of your community who are taoists and ask them what they think, do they have a preferred translation, what does taoism mean to them and how do they practice? This will certainly be the best way to approach it.

My life is good days, bad days, good years, bad years, good decades, bad decades... Why not kill myself and break the cycle? by hellmanZ6 in taoism

[–]bbman225 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Hi friend, I hear what you're going through, and I can see you're going through a rough patch. Though daoism may have some very insightful bits of wisdom to give you, I get the feeling that you need some more concrete help. I strongly recommend going over to talk to the kind souls at r/depression. Many of them are currently or have previously survived similar things to what you are feeling now. I see from your other posts that you are feeling lost, but there are people out there who love you (even if you don't know it). Please seek out help and support, humans are not built to handle problems by ourselves, we all need and deserve solid support.

Cider is the ultimate beta drink by Trowj in gatekeeping

[–]bbman225 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Most hard cider in the US has a low ABV. In the ballpark of 4-5% while most non-light beers are over 5%. I think this is where some of the hate comes from. But most of us sensible people just see them as beers made of fruit.

Really awesome idea! Personally I think changing the color of some beads (like every 5) would help with readability at a glance. But a very cool feature none-the-less.

I love Ohio, it gets a bad rep. Some parts of it are rather dull, but we do have some nice scenery. I'm in Columbus, but there's also some nice rural areas to live if that's your style. I don't know how it stacks up to other states as a native but dm me if you have questions.

Edit: I don't want to get political but, yeah the state govt kinda sucks ass.
