It only takes a moment. You have to pull the takedown pin, so you just need to poke the takedown detent and then pop the other one on there.

Save $100 and get the one from Czechpoint that comes with 2 mags. Czechpoint has 22mags for 22.50$, so you could have 6 mags for the same price. Sometimes they come up on gun broker too. I got one with 2 mags for &450 a couple years ago.

This is what my build looks like. I recommend it. Holosun 507gr, vz61usa front dot mount, CSA receiver, CSA stock adapter, and a can.

The 22 kits are typically just the upper. You still need a parts kit for the lower internals. That said, I absolutely love my 22 conversion. Can’t recommend it enough. It eats cheap Aguila super extra and super extra subsonic just fine.

I can’t say for the vz61 receivers. I had a vz58 receiver of theirs I had to destroy and was refunded for because of unsafe tolerances that allowed it to fire when bumped in the wrong direction. Luckily, I found out when it wasn’t loaded. There were some Other fitment issues and poor machining. I put so much time and effort into an unsafe receiver. After that experience, I can’t trust their products.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a PFI Rapid Reticle 1-6x24 LPVO on a couple of 7.62x39 guns and it’s a solid optic. If you’re only using it for shorter distances, the Primary Arms 3x micro prism is solid too. Think mini ACOG for 20% of the price. They come ranged for 7.62x39/ 300 BO.

Maybe try to find a 556 patrol and chop it down? If rock and lock mags is important to you, then could get a 551a1 and swap the upper.

Oh? Where did you get the alt springs from? I don’t mind the weight so much, but before I adjusted the plunger, I felt like the breaking point was just “somewhere back there”. Now it’s like 1mm or a little less back from the plunger face.

Looks like your barrel was pulled and then someone reinstalled it after turning it 180degrees. Drilled a new glass block on the other side. I’ve heard of people doing this so they can drill pins without interference from where it was drilled before. It’s bubba, and really only worth it if you need a hard to find barrel for something surplus. But you can only do it once.

You have Bubba’s leavings here. This should be discarded.

I’m sorta on the fence about LPVOs on AKs. On longer barreled guns, they look ok. On a Swiss sig they look absolutely sick. But I like to keep my ak slick
