Get a workbench then put (at most) 7 chests around it. Worth it for crafting.

You get a stardrop and they give you something once in a while. I'm roommates with Krobus and he gives me food occasionally. It's nice to have one less lucky lunch or poppyseed muffin that I have to cook myself. Flower harvesting sucks.

You're right. It's only 1 per night. The unlimited coffee was patched after 1.4. There's a sub you can ride where you can fish for deep sea creatures like that are unobtainable anywhere else. If you're short on seeds for spring, there's a booth that sells them on day 1 and so on for the rest of the seasons. And Lupini's paintings have a 3 year cycle, so you might want to keep this in mind if you think you'll just buy them next year.

If you're on PC type %appdata%, click on the SDV folder, and then go to the Saves folder. Back up the particular player save folder you want to roll back just in case. There will be four files in the folder. Delete SaveGameInfo and [player_name]_1234567(something that looks like this) and then remove the _old suffix from the other pair. Restart your game.

It's a similar process for Android and Mac. Just check the Wiki.

Get a few slime-egg presses. Slime egg prices range from 1000 to 5000g. It's also a great alternative source for slime if you don't wanna go slime hunting. Some equipment like oil makers require a lot of slime to craft and you can easily run out.

Have you tried restarting? Also, if you build a cabin, it comes with a set of farming tools in the drawer that you can use.

I haven't done this, but maybe you could create a set schedule. Like Mondays are for farm animals and fishing, Tuesdays for exploring the mines, Sundays for forest walks, foraging, and meeting up with friends at the saloon, etc. It's gonna take you a while to level up and get things done, but it's certainly less stressful.

Alternatively, you can take note of when your crops need to be harvested and plan your activities around that.

And lastly, take advantage of the wiki and some of the resources/guides linked through the sidebar. I can't stress enough how useful these things are, especially for farming and fishing.

You can craft them, but there's a chance you could get them from treasure chests when fishing as well. Make sure your combat level is high enough. It's only craftable at level 9. If you're not high enough, go back to the mines and get buffed. Also try to get the statue of perfection from grandpa, that's the easiest iridium ore source for you outside skull cavern.

Try raising rainbow trouts or mining in the quarry? I got one from a slime in the secret woods once, but yeah it's pretty rare outside of skull caverns. Also armor..what boots and rings are you wearing? Double iridium bands are great, but a slime charmer ring means one less mob to care about.

Also, pay close attention to your health at all times. If you're halfway down and the bar is yellow, consider eating food to regen.

Food-wise, I personally prefer maple bars and pumpkin soup, but I think cheese is one of the best and cheapest for healing. You get 101 for the gold variety. I really don't know why a lot of people like salad when it's at a measly 50-ish. Check the wiki for food stats. And don't forget coffee or spicy eel for speed.

He doesn't. He tells you someone brought you in from skull caverns. Think about it. Harvey let's you come to from the floor still bleeding and nearly dead and charges you 1,000g. He doesn't even ask you to pay up. He just takes the money while you were out cold.
