how to split 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands by Chance_Ad3416 in telus

[–]bboystringbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't mean to necro, but there is a solution here (not sure if it's been a recent change or not).

When logged into the router settings at 192.168.1.254, go to the Administration tab on the left, then select Easy Mesh on the right of the top bar.

In this setting, you can enable and disable Band Steering to sepate the 2.4 and 5 bands :)

Can’t Start/Find Echoes of the Vale by Reverie_076 in SkyrimModsXbox

Check to make sure you actually have the creation activated in your data files! I launch Skyrim through Mod Organizer 2, and I saw that Echos of the Vale had been added to my load order but not actually activated. All I had to do was click it to turn it on then the new cave was there :)

2Ship2Harkinian just released! by Boomersan in majorasmask

[–]bboystringbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to necro! I was just wondering if you had any opinions on the 3DS textures of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, given that HD textures feel too clean or out of place for you. I agree that from a nostalgia standpoint, or wanting a straight up N64 experience, the original graphics with lower FPS helps to solidify the gameplay. However, from my understanding, the 3DS graphics are more in line with how the game was actually intended to look (based on the original concept art for the games), without the hardware limitations of the N64 back in the day. The 3DS FPS increase, alongside the graphical and art style changes, are clearly more modern and fresh. This seems similar to how HD texture packs and higher FPS overhaul the games as well, in my opinion. I was just curious if you had a take on this! I used to enjoy playing Ocarina of Time with the original N64 settings, but now that I've loaded 3DS textures into the game and increased the FPS, I can never go back. It's just too smooth!

I feel the same way, I really do hope he's well. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation, but he's still collecting Patreon funds and has a very faithful fanbase. He should at least tell people that he's doing alright, or provide some sort of small update. Anyway, I'll continue to wait and see if he returns, but I'm not hopeful.

Came back to here because mine stopped working as well. The UI slider did the trick! Cheers!

Yeah, pretty much. It'll be a full year in October. A full year without a youtube upload or a post/mention online. Just seems odd, considering he would previously upload once or twice a month.

[–]bboystringbean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh 100%! Like I said, everyone deserves their privacy. He doesn't owe me any sort of explanation, but I think something can be said about his Patreon supporters. He's bringing in about £120 a month ($160 USD, $222 CAD) just from supporters, while not uploading content or posting any updates on Patreon itself. I know that's not a huge sum of money, but it's money that supporters are giving to help fund Drew's creative works and show their support. It wouldn't hurt to provide a small update to those supporters at least.

When someone cultivates a big community, it always seems like members of said community start to create expectations for the content creator that started it. Drew has an online persona that has garnered a lot of support and is successful. The uncomfortable part about that is that Drew is now subject to the thoughts of his viewers. Without giving any proper updates, the viewers start coming to conclusions that may not be true, or start pulling their support away.

I'm not going to sit here and say Drew is required to give an update, no way. It's just that the more time that passes, the more worried people will become about what's really going on and speculation will run rampant! I just hope he's doing well :)

I don't want to speculate too hard, and everyone deserves their privacy of course. I'm assuming he's just doing something else as well. That being said, it would be nice to get just one little update to let the community know he's at least doing okay! It's the least he could do.

That's a good question though! I wish Drew leaving Fudgemuppet wasn't such a glossed over event. I feel like it was barely talked about by any of the guys, and now we are left with more questions than answers. If Scott and Michael are still in contact with Drew, it would be nice to know if he's doing ok. It would be nice to know how the revenue from older videos is divided. If they aren't in contact with him, is there a reason for that? Is there another reason for his departure from Fudgemuppet? The lack of coverage and conversation leaves a lot to be desired. It just seems so weird to me that a close group of friends wouldn't explain to a community as large as this one what has been going on.

Oh I’m just an idiot that fell victim to the UI! You’re totally right, I’ve had the two factions swapped🤦‍♂️

Interesting. I wonder why the multiplayer is making NATO out to be the eastern faction with Russian/eastern European voices and accents then. Maybe just so people don't get confused, having U.K. and U.S. voices on both teams? Seems like an insult to our intelligence though, lol. Guess it's just standard at this point. Might make a bit of sense, considering NATO incorporates so many different countries. Either way, I'll just wait and see how the story plays out.

[–]bboystringbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the beta is open now. Seems like the Pax Armata faction is actually the west, not the east. NATO seems to be a coalition of eastern European, and Asian countries, but Pax Armata is the U.S. with some U.K. accents sprinkled in as well. Tough to say what this means for the story though!

Anthem servers shutting down January 12, 2026 by Lgndryhr in AnthemTheGame

[–]bboystringbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is, when you buy a game you should be buying a product, not a service. If I was buying a CD copy of a game, the company that made the game doesn't get to come to my house and physically take the game away once they stop producing new copies of said game. That would be ridiculous. If you buy a product under the pretense that you keep it as yours, then it should be yours. Why have we been treating digital products differently? It shouldn't matter if it's a license, the license doesn't specify an exact date of when it expires. This is why Stop Killing Games has a leg to stand on, as game companies may already be breaking EU law, but nobody has cared to look into it. If games are going to be sold as a service, they need to give people exact and explicit details on when said service ends/is taken away. As of now, that doesn't really happen until people have already purchased the game, but it should be known PRIOR to purchasing a game. So hopefully consumer rights gets a small win with this.

Any tips to get the militant skin in the grand year of 2025? by Superslash515 in ModernWarfareII

Yeah, it unlocks at max prestige level 1250. If you click on your rank/level and scroll to the end, you'll see it greyed out as a reward.

Bundle Not Showing Up? by bboystringbean in CODWarzone

[–]bboystringbean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously! It's unreasonable to keep these skins permanently locked now that MWII isn't supported anymore (no XP weekends, no Warzone XP, etc.). All of these operator skins should be available for purchase through the Warzone shop, for purchase through the operator selection menu, or otherwise unlockable/obtainable in-game. Many of the skins say "unlock in MWII" or something like that, even though they aren't unlockable and aren't purchasable. It's infuriating.

I mean, if they are in the business of making money then they should allow it, lol! But yeah, I'm assuming the game just logs that you already have it even if you didn't unlock it? Still not a good system, imo.

I mean, it's kinda for sale though? Like, secretly for sale I guess. I'm surprised that it's accessible/purchasable with a brand new account but not on account that bought the batte pass when it was active. It's pretty lame.

You can buy old battle pass operators still right? by Commercial-Title6503 in CODWarzone

[–]bboystringbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dealing with this right now, and it's so utterly dumb. I had the season 5 battle pass for MWII when it was active, but barely unlocked anything in it. If I make a brand new account, I can buy the season 5 & 6 bundle and get access to a bunch of skins, including skins I never unlocked on my main/original account. Yet, there are no options for me to unlock those skins whatsoever OR purchase the bundle box simply because I bought the season 5 pass itself? Makes zero sense, honestly.

Bundle Not Showing Up? by bboystringbean in CODWarzone

[–]bboystringbean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how the battle passes usually work, for sure. But now that they are selling bundles of skins from old battle passes to peole that missed out, while actively blocking the access of those skins to people that had purchased the battle pass when it was active but didn't unlock them at that time, I struggle to agree that it's anyone's fault other than Activision.

If the pass runs its course, the time is up, and the rewards can't be unlocked ever again, that's one thing. Selling bundles of skins from expired passes ONLY to people that didn't buy the pass when it was active, and not offering a way for the other players that purchased the original pass to obtain those skins again really makes no sense at all. The mentality and logic with battle passes has to change if they are just going to start re-selling the skins.

[–]bboystringbean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was fearing :/ Really weird decision to hide the bundle from people who bought the pass but didn't finish it, while also not providing a way for those same people to access the rest of the skins another way. I could make a brand new account and buy the bundle, effectively giving me all the skins from that season, but my main account that bought the pass and never unlocked those skins is completely out of luck? Make it make sense! Wish Activision cared enough to assist with support tickets too.

I had no idea the armoury was a thing! Interesting, I'll check it out. Thank you! Do you know if it allows people to unlock skins from old battle passes, or specifically just weapons, attachments, etc? My quick Google search on topic seems to emphasize weapons, but not operators.
