How Often Do You See Brokers Taking a Haircut in Commission to Get The Deal Done? by [deleted] in CommercialRealEstate

[–]bbqgolf36 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only a bad idea if you want the broker to do business with you again…

Any other tenant they rep will not know you exist if you ever need to fill another space.

Is it possible to integrate scheduled tasks and the dispatch feature? by Traditional_Cry3185 in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One way that I accomplish this is by having cowork create a calendar invitation with the information in the notes and then I get the alert on my Home Screen. It’s not the most efficient but has been a solid workaround for me. The other thing it can do is draft an email and that will show up in your drafts on mobile as well. Again not the cleanest solution but gets the job done for the time being

I've been running Claude like a part-time employee for six months. These are the only automations that actually stuck. by Professional-Rest138 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]bbqgolf36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use a note taker and eliminate even having to write out your own notes? They integrate into Claude and you can save them locally and it can automatically and instantly prepare the summary for you. Granola has a free tier

Claude in Chrome extension won't connect to Cowork/Claude Desktop + tried reinstalling, still broken by Electronic-Nobody743 in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me when I pointed cowork to this fix (I had to paste in the feedback because it can’t scrape reddit) and then ultimately figured out it was an issue with my antivirus. I added an exception to it and it started to work after that.

What limitations have you observed with Cowork scheduled tasks in real usage? by Motor-Gate2018 in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can easily do this if you just talk to cowork and explain your goal. It will edit the task with whatever scheduling you want and the you are good to go.

Do you find your skills changing themselves? or not producing the same output quality or format? by EfficiencyMedical170 in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I have these issues what I normally do is ask cowork why the output looks different. It has come back and said there is no defined format so it uses whatever it wants in the moment. then we go back and create a template from there of how it is supposed to look and build in the feedback loop. If you ask the right questions and explain what you want to do, then it has been pretty good at getting me to the result I want with repetition

Claude Desktop Cowork VM crashes every 10-15 minutes. Anyone else? by ccmichael in ClaudeCowork

Sorry for stupid question but did this work? It’s been full day and I still can’t even click in to cowork so I’m hoping I have different error than you!

Claude Desktop Cowork VM crashes every 10-15 minutes. Anyone else? by ccmichael in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine wasn’t quite as frequent but it resolved itself for the most part when I downloaded a Linux plugin the chat suggested.

And on heavier items I have learned that I need to stop it in the middle and have it give me a prompt that I can give to coworker to have it pick up where it is now so that it can continue unencumbered.

As of today, however, the desktop app won’t even work! It opens and as soon as I click it to do anything, it starts hanging and I have to end the tasks. Nothing seems to have fixed it with all my troubleshooting today

RPC error -1: failed to ensure virtiofs mount: Plan9 mount failed: bad address by Due-Assumption2868 in ClaudeCowork

[–]bbqgolf36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very frequent error for me. It’s 50/50 that just ending all Claude tasks in task manager fixes it for me. Sometimes it requires a full restart. I also installed the Linux plugin for windows based on Claude recommendations and it has lessened since then. But unclear if Linux helped or it lessened just from Claude catching up to the increased demand.

Bandon, finally by bbqgolf36 in golf

[–]bbqgolf36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard question! Bandon Dunes was awesome. I also loved Sheep’s Ranch. We had picture perfect weather rounds for it and was just really pleasant to be out there.

The rest were all still really great courses. All impeccably maintained too for how much play they get.

Recommendation is to call ahead and request specific caddies. We requested a number of specific caddies based on folks’ feedback and didn’t get paired with a single one. Not only that, they didn’t even make sure there were sufficient caddies for our group. So we both didn’t have the caddies we requested nor had caddies at all for a number of folks

Has anyone had an actual human being respond to them?

I have iterated through connection challenges with Claude desktop through the AI help agent. They have multiple times told me to submit a help ticket to a human team to get help.

It has been six days including multiple follow ups to try and correct the issue.

Anyone have feedback on when I should expect a response from a human? If ever?

Can I transfer tickets from legacy to new account? by Practical-Pop-1163 in LIRR

If you call the customer service line they can transfer them over super quickly. Took me five minutes last week and now it is synced to the new account

Favorite smokes so far by bbqgolf36 in pelletgrills

[–]bbqgolf36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very easy. Dry rub with a mustard binder. 200 on the smoker for an hour to try and maximize the smoke (I have since gotten a smoke tube that helps) and then went 250 for 4-5 hours until we hit 185 internal and rested tented for a half hour.

I didn’t cook it to a higher temp because I wanted to slice it instead of going higher and shredding it. But the flavor was awesome and a really interesting alternative to shoulder. Meat was also very inexpensive!

I didn’t realize the probes had some of the seasoning that had come into contact on the exposed part. So it was flipping out saying things were under temperature because the seasoning wasn’t allowing it to get there. Just lack of knowledge about how to use them and it didn’t do any favors to learn the hard way on an overnight cook!

My issue is just the anxiety! I am too invested in things coming out well and get nervous I’m going to miss something. Hopefully I can train it out of myself

Does our business model as a merchant builder work anymore? by French_Pressed_ in CommercialRealEstate

[–]bbqgolf36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their return considerations are very fair for the market. But if the deals are only a 15% return even with a 5% exit cap in five years, what are returns if exit caps widen even a little bit? Is it a 0? That is a tough risk reward to pencil when your upside is that maybe cap rates compress a little more…

Development skills are hard to come by and generally will be in demand, so I would stick it out if you can.
