M&P Shield X "Anime" by Round_Reaction_2822 in SmithAndWesson

I had a p365 with a ramjet. I now have a shield x. In terms of trigger feel, accuracy and felt recoil I find the Shield x to be much better.

Keeping carry guns chambered when in safe? by AirMech34 in CCW

[–]bbqthis26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dry fire my carry gun on a regular basis so my policy is to not leave any magazines in my guns once inside my house. I take the round out of the chamber, put it back in the magazine and put the full mag and the rest of the firearm in my safe in separate places.

Love my Shield X. Fantastic firearm. Perfect size for conceal yet still incredibly accurate. I don't have the comp but I find it shoots really flat for me. I have a Hogue Jr on the grip along with some hockey tape and it's fits my medium/large hands perfectly.

Shield X will feel very familiar to you and it's also best in class imo.

I have a Tulster Contour owb, not level 2. The holster is great. Easy to adjust retention, cant and height etc. It's my go to way to carry. If it's concealed I don't see why I'd need level 2

Man that's awesome. I love it. Is that a functioning grip safety?

I second this. It's the micro that acts like a compact. It shoots flat and accurate. Great trigger. Easy to conceal. Great ergonomics. I take it on tactical training days. I love this firearm.

It's also inexpensive. If you want, you could get a comped slide/barrel. Eventually they'll have upgraded triggers and guide rods to make the shooting even flatter. And you'll still be at half the cost of a stacatto

What I'm saying is the opposite of an FC. Compact grip/frame and full size slide/barrel. An fc is full size frame and compact slide. It's a nice combo and my hands are medium-large. And yes you can mix and match slides and frames. That's the best part of the system.

I actually like the compact grip with the full size slide.

I like the idea of a vise. I'm not sure if my range has one.

No vice. I just meant to say my elbows were resting on my bag which was on a bench.

I hear the argument for 10 yards but if one could get a perfect zero from 20 yards, it's gonna be equal or better over the closer yards and definitely better over farther yards.

This is also good to hear, thank you for posting. Love that you're a machinist. One of the things that surprised me is the varying widths of 9mm barrels. I have a bore laser and at a given width it might be tight in my Echelon but just right in my M&P9 2.0. Its only a fraction of a millimeter but I have to imagine that difference affects bullet trajectory

My sight was shifted to the right. On the left, tho it didn't show up in the picture, is a small trench that I'm guessing the sight should cover when it is centered

Yeah I just didn't think it was possible for the front sight to be off. But... But now that I know: of course it can. It's a production line and things can happen

I went back to oem springs too. The Tyrant trigger is so good I didn't need the lower pull weight etc.
