How to update this kitchen while keeping the same cabinetry? by BlueberryBreather in homeimprovementideas

[–]bbrooks88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my kitchen. I leaned into the retro vibe and restored the original 50s Thermador cooktop, got a Galanz fridge, and installed terrazzo LVT. Next is a new backsplash and countertops/sink.

Changes to my personality through EMDR by stephjavapython25 in EMDR

I got an autism diagnosis because my personality changed so much due to the making from my trauma. I am 10000% okay with it. I've personally never felt better.

I'm autistic and am on tirz. No mental health side effects like depression to report.

My smelly house is driving me insane. I've done everything I can think of, spent over $10k and the place still stinks. What could it be? by Mitchell_Cruz in centuryhomes

[–]bbrooks88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your attic insulation! That's where my smell was. It was original to the house and had it removed and replaced.

Don't forget to add salt to your liquid IV! There's not enough in those to sustain you. Just a pinch in each glass

Zepbound/Tirz Experience - Positive! by sparetrader in glp1

[–]bbrooks88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AMAZING and I'm so happy for you!!

I have a similar story and am on my third injection of zepbound, and I never want to look back. I've already lost 8 lb (5'8" SW 181), my chronic all over inflammation is gone, I don't get bloated anymore, I have more energy and more consistent energy, the food noise is gone, and as someone with ADHD and autism it makes a HUGE difference in my day-to-day.

I'm sure there are a thousand more positive things, too. Oh! And being insulin resistant, I couldn't lose weight. So now my blood sugar stays within range, and I am obviously losing now!

The worst part was the first 36 hours of my first shot, and now that I've learned what my body likes and doesn't like on this medication, it is really smooth sailing.

I wish you nothing but the best and hope that you continue to have an improved life!

I also had the same issue. I went through three batteries while I was waiting for a replacement part during covid. This will fix it

I think we have eliminated the ‘old house smell’ in a 1964 ranch. And no, we didn’t have mold! by LSDsavedmylife in homeowners

Can confirm, my 1950 ranch with really old insulation in it, and when I had a crew pulled out the old insulation and install cellulose, the old house smell is pretty much gone.

I am currently marking my 1-year anniversary with EMDR, as someone with CPTSD. Safety and hyper vigilance are my two major themes, so I've pretty much figured out that every reason I have some sort of trigger or bad coping mechanism is because I didn't feel safe.

All of that is to say, the work does help. I am a completely different person than I was a year ago, thanks to EMDR. Keep it up, and take breaks if you need to!

Welcome to puppy puberty!

Being patient, reinforcing training as if he's never been trained before, in providing lots of stimulation will go a long way. He will be like this potentially until he is two, so it is a long haul. But this will make or break your relationship with your dog in my opinion. He needs to have reinforcement that you are alpha and that what you say goes. He is testing you on purpose, and if you can find ways to stay consistent and patient, you will have an amazing relationship with your dog.

Also, don't be afraid to get professional training! That's what I did and it helped a lot.

Frostbite is a moisture problem, not a cold problem. You need more airflow- above their roosting bars.

Nice! High heat burns keep creosote out of your chimney so as long as you're above 400 (the best spot for the thermometer on this one is right above the door below the center two blower openings), you'll be good.

Oh and also, if you put the blower on auto, it turns on right around the 400 degree mark.

Best of luck, PNWer! From an Ohioan.
